I need to have blanket coverage of WiFi all across my home (10 marla hourse, GF & 1F). Can you recommend which WiFi router is best for this purpose and within reasonable amount.

For some retarded reason of PTCL's own reckoning, my upload was downgraded to 1Mbps instead of 3Mbps. My line stats haven't changed one bit, but strange thing is they didn't touch the download, its still the same.

I applied for 8Mbps VDSL package and they put me on 12Mbps instead, so I asked them to revert me to 8Mbps package. Could this be the reason why my upload was downgraded to 1Mbps??? Even if they did, i'm still getting 12Mbps download speed which doesn't make sense.

The tracert during peak hours is insanely high. Higher than I've ever seen.

The hops from the first server (182.x.x.x), i.e: your gateway are too high, it shouldn't be more than 10-15 ms in most cases, however for you it's terrible.
This could be due to extreme load from your area during those hours.

However, answer me this, do you use WiFi or Ethernet?

EDIT: Your speedtest screenshot shows you're on a 119.x IP, which could be the cause of all this.
Those are known for having different routing than the 182.x or 39.x IP pools.

i use ethernet have no clue what to do if i complain on the helpline some ptcl guy will come in the day time and there will be no issue at that time cuz this starts at exactly 7-7:30pm have tried in 39.xx ip pool too there was the same issue.

update:- just restarted the modem i am on 39.xx pool now ping are little better idk how

I would suggest Static IP, but that doesn't guarantee you'll get an IP from the 39.x pool, neither does it guarantee to fix the issues you're facing.

Mind posting a trace route now that you're in the 39.x pool?

Just to see how different it is from the other one.

Well, the ping to your gateway is certainly lower than before, what happens when you tell the PTCL guy that this happens at a certain time? Or is he the kind of stupid oaf to not believe you and just walk off.

i got his personal number too i explained him he told me its not possible that your internet works good in the day and in the evening it starts this problem now i am thinking to tell him to install some app like teamviewer so i can give him a live demo what the real issue. as their duty end at 5-5:30pm they dont visit customers after it.

I guess your only solution is to use 39.x IPs and just hope for the best.
PTCL is like this and unfortunately there's nothing we can do about it.

Hi,

Its 1088 for the upload, 12286 for the download. The guy who came to install VDSL told me that you should be able to get 3Mbps as I'm also using smart tv. He will visit tomorrow morning to rectify the problem. Will update once everything's in order.

Nothing on your end needs to be rectified, port upgradation happens in your local exchange so they can do it without needing to visit your location.

You should be getting 2 - 2.5mbps uploads on a 8mbps connection !

Max attainable rate of 55 Mbps, not bad but my friend told me to wait until end of March before upgrading speed, he said new DP is being installed and it will be better to wait because the current DP is quite old and over-burdened.

Thanks. Yeah i was actually looking to get 30 Mbps in the first place but on advice of local exchange i opted for 20 Mbps instead, now gonna wait until March till the up gradation process is complete so i can finally get 30 Mbps.
And finally i got decent upload speed so my friends can see my steam game streams in decent quality. Sucks when you have GTX 1080 and running game at max quality but friends can only watch the stream and 480p or less due to that crap 1 Mbps upstream you get on ADSL.
