Fkhan: nope not the trailer that song tho... Ive seen many many times.

However good of an actor sanjay dutt is he cant match that original kancha china character in the '90 version... and altho I dont watch a lotta hindi films, I often watch its ending tho, its amongst one of THE BEST ending I've seen in a movie, everything just works!

Sleepy Hollow - 7.5/10 - The movie was OK, not Burton's best. But the visuals were just breathtaking.

Close Encounters of the third kind - 9.5/10 - Don't think this movie needs any intro. Simply one of the best aliens movies ever made.

1. Hope Springs - 7/10: Good performances, light movie. Meryl Streep again gives a blistering performance. Vulnerable, sad. Steve Carell is the surprise here with his most mature role to date. The movie is a bit slow and the ending predictable, but a good topic to make a movie on.
2. Premium Rush - 7.5/10" Fast paced, adrenaline filled, no holds barred biker's extravaganza. Thin story, all marks on style and vitality.
3. End of Watch - 7.5/10: Great acting. No story, just some random events strung together. But a gritty look at police work.

Batman: Mask of the Phantasm.
Watched after many positive reviews online. The main highlight of the movie was Batman and his struggles, when he started his Crusade. It was really nice how they summed up the entire storyline. Anyways, it was good to watch ol Batman kicking some ass. Didn't particularly like the animation. The best part of the entire movie was when
Spoiler: show
Joker says to Andrea, "you are harder to kill than a cockroach on steroids". It literally cracked me up

Warning: The following review will contain spoilers. Read at your own discretion.

Memento

"Remember Sammy Jankis"

Memento is Nolan's first venture into big budgeted production of Hollywood and it is, without a doubt, his finest work.

The film is about a guy who suffers from short-term memory loss. So what do you do when you can't remember anything? Makes notes of everything, right? And that's what the lead character does. He makes notes of everything he sees, every lie he wants to believe.

The editing of this movie is cleverly done. Making the viewer question the previous scenes. It is perhaps it's unique approach that will confuse a lot of the viewers. But the story and idea behind this movie is relatively simple. Once we grasp the straws, it is not hard to build the final picture.

This movie follows a completely different approach to story telling. Where as in one sequence, we are shown the movie in a chronological sequence, and it is the exact opposite in the next sequence. The editing definitely requires some praise because of how it all clicks together at the end. The chronological sequence meets the reverse chronological sequence beautifully.

It is a thriller and the finest one that i have seen to date. Right from the start, it keeps your mind racing. Questioning each and every sequence that follows. Is it really true? Do we believe what they are saying? And you get your answer right in the next sequence, perhaps, it will be proven false in the next sequence. It slowly creates a story which builds up over time. When we finally reach the end, it raises a big question? Was it all a lie? Do we believe what the movie is telling us to believe? Is it all true? It all depends on the viewer.

Rating 9.5/10
