guyz one of my relative is coming from dubai so he can get one jasper 256mb for me and it will cost me around 16.5 17k +1k moding.

so plz tell me the things which my cousin has to see at purchase time so he can get the right hackable and JASPER for me

It's not hard to find Japser in Dubai... they are easily available and every 360 is now hackable.

Tell him to visit Carefour in dubai they have best deal for 360 and they have 100% jasper no fraud at all.
PS:You can challenge them if it isnt Jasper.

^ the most easiest way is to check the manufacturing date if its anything 2009 its a jasper surely this aint difficult

No tell him to check lot no. and manufacture date as well.But the thing i mean is that there are many shopkeepers in Dubai which change the lot no. and manufacture date sticker and sell Falcon as Jasper.This thing will not happen in Carefour.

Any advice on buying a new 360?

Greetings, all.

I'm going to buy a 360 pretty soon. I've been a Sony boy my whole life, so I'm completely in the blue about the 360.

Any help/advice before I buy will be appreciated. In particular:

- I'm looking to buy a GoPro. Or possibly an Elite, if the price difference isn't a lot. What are the usual prices currently in Lahore? And any suggestions about a particular shop? I fear I might get ripped off because of my 360 noobness.


- What's all this about the chips? Falcon? Jasper? What should I be looking at?

- My priority is online gaming, and I've heard about the banning thing. Someone here told me to get stealthpatched games and iXtreme 1.6 firmware flashed console. Details?

- Should I be looking to buy some essential add-ons on the spot? Like the rechargeable battery pack or whatever. All I know is that it includes cells by default and cells suck.

- Any technical specifications I should be asking for? Like that NTSC/PAL shit and Asian region or whatever. Enlighten me!

- Any other advice would be welcome.

- No you won't be banned from Live if you have iXtreme 1.5 or more. I think 1.6 is safest and the Malaysian discs for new games are already stealth patched.

- Get the battery pack for recharging or simply get some rechargeable cells and a charger. Your choice.

- NTSC consoles would be able to play all Malaysian games available in market. PAL consoles will not be able to play some games which are region locked, for that matter, you need to burn the game in PAL region.

This is how anyone can check manufacturing date and Console power rating without opening the box.

How do I check if it's NTSC or PAL? And as the thread you linked me to says, how do I check specifically for NTSC/UC or NTSC/J?
And how do I know ifi t's iXtreme 1.5 or more?

It's written on the back of xbox 360 box, DVD REGION 1 is for NTSC/UC and DVD REGION 2 is for PAL.

Yaar tell him to visit City Centre in Diera near Hollywood Planet(Its a dance club).Plus tell him that its a supermarket with different Section so he has to visit the Electronic Section.
Another good shop in City Centre is VIRGIN.They also have good 360 deals plus they have set about 3 to 4 Xbox 360 to play publically.I use to stand hours their and play it and kicked Americans and Russians ass in COD4

he is coming on first day of eid.ya probably he knows the shop but i aint talked with him abt the shop..he is quite busy there.

I've asked my brother to get an xbox 360 arcade (PAL) from dubai since my last one died. I already gave him the hints on finding a jasper, like the lot no. , power rating and manufacturing date. But he's saying that he can only find elites at most of the places including carrefour. Now where the hell is he supposed to find an arcade (jasper) in dubai ? Because i don't want an elite.
