You can play original/pirated games online but there is high risk of getting ban as your 360 will be moded. If you want to play online then don't get your 360 moded and play original games but then what will be the difference between Xbox 360 and PS3 :p

Original are way too expensive and not easily available. I would suggest getting a custom 250GB for around 6k.

You can't access LIVE anymore, hdd gets crippled (can be uncrippled) and profile is corrupted.

so i was playing mw2 and the lite went during a save...so i turned on the xbox after a while and tried to run said saved game of mw2...says save corrupt...so wht im asking is if my HDD is at risk? i went to system sttings and it was detected adn i could see the save games...so wht u guys think?

^ It's the MW2 save game which is corrupted. Not the HDD

Play MW2 again or if available option ,playthrough the last mission / checkpoint !

That's why I only play after Loadshedding ;)

No that doesnt have anything to do with your HDD.. During saving or auto saving your console asks you to not let your console shut down because the save file is kinda fragile and is corrupted when disturbs.. The save file for the particular moment wheere you were playing doesnt work.. But if you have other save files then they should work or just start again :p

This has happened to me only once in my 3 and a half years of owning the 360. Lost my Kung Fu Panda game save. I think a PG member lost his Mass Effect or AC or Batman saves in a similar manner. Coldfusion I think it was.

I've NEVER lost a save file on my 360, Once I was saving my game when Load shedding struck but even then the file wasn't corrupted.

Hmmmm a friend of mine lost an ACII save file like at the 70% of storyline part lol.. I lost alot on the my PS2.. Never on the 360.. I dont play around Load-shedding times..

It happens only when the game is auto-saving and the lights go BOOM !
