I'm happy at spending near 3k for shoes as normally I spend 2.5-3k for hoes at Bata, Servis and the brands they have like Don Carlos etc. They start getting torn in an year or so.

But I can't really spend 5k on a shoe. It's the Pakistani approach, that get less expensive cheap shit that will probably not be usable after an year. My parents follow this approach. :(

Anything that is good and still light on the pocket?

Urban Sole and NorthStar(Bata) have some nice casual shoes in an affordable price range.

Lacoste oxfords. Will work for both casual and semi formal.

Oxfords are too formal for me. I'm looking for decent sneakers(hard to find them here), loafers, and even those hiphop/dance kinda shoes if they're epic.

Just wait for sales then. The ones at Levi's and adidas are usually up to 50%. Nike has big sales too, though I'm not a big fan of their stuff; but thats just me. Or you could try out factory outlets. But you have to be really careful when buying from there. You have to make sure you don't pick up defected stuff.

Try Hush Puppies or Pierre Cardin for loafers.
And what do you mean by 'hiphop/dance' shoes? :p

You don't really wanna get over the top with shoes man.
Keep the design simple, play around with colours.

How about boat shoes? I find them to be classy yet casual.
Ugh. I'm failing to find the right adjectives to describe what I need. I didnt mean shoda, when I said funky. I'll just see what I can find in the market and go on from there.

I had no idea Servis and Bata offered THAT service as well. :D
Try hush puppies, pretty decent quality and reasonable prices.

I'm talking about something like this.. dont know what they're called.

Got these Pierre Cardins a few years back, but they've worn out and now I'm looking for something similar. The market is flushed with this particular style now, but they all look like cheap knock offs. It doesnt necessarily have to be this design, but this is the kinda casual I'm looking for. Also, does Pierre Cardin have their own outlet in Pakistan?

If you call THAT worn out, I'll post some pics of Levis sneakers which I put on daily for Uni.. And in 6 months, they're totally screwed. :p

I'm not really much into this style of footwear. :p
And I don't think they have their own outlet. But they are available here. At which brand, that I forgot.

Winter stuffs.

-
Wearing only a T-Shirt in the dead of the winter = wearing a sign which says "DBag."

- Wear dark colors.

- Avoid wearing a scarf as if you're about to hang yourself because your bachi left you. Google how to wear a scarf.

- Avoid velvet jackets unless the one you own reeks of epicness. They've become too mainstream.

- (Chappal/Sandal + socks) only acceptable in the comfort of your home.

- Fashion should always be relevant to the season. Even though I enjoyed poondying the girl who was wearing a sleeveless top in this cold, she still looked dumb as F. Sweaters = Hot. Scarves(provided worn correctly) = hot. Jackets paired with a plain white tee = hottttt.

- Google and learn about 'layering.' But dont overdo it.

- Hiking boots. Oxfords. Boat shoes. Loafers. Slip ons. NOT JUST Sneakers.

Is anyone even remotely interested in this crap?

They probably are, but I'm pretty sure the moment they turn off the PC, they're gonna forget all this stuff. :p

And having a special winter wardrobe is only worthwhile for you Punjab guys, if you ask me. Karachi mein tou bas do hafton ki 'sardiyaan' aati hain. <_<

And the sandals + socks trend. It amazes me how such a large number of people continue to make such a bizarre fashion faux pas. :fp2:

Oh, and two things:

- Is there any way I can utilize an oversized denim jacket? I kinda like it but its one size too big.

- Whats the best way of telling someone that they're awkwardly dressed?

- - - Updated - - -

Oh, and this is for you Khi people. Whats all this hullabaloo regarding this store 'Corporate'? I visited it today, didn't really see anything special. Or maybe I wasn't searching right?

- Wear it over a plain white tee, and let the front of the jacket fly open. If that doesnt work, I doubt anything else will.
I've come to terms with the fact that fit is everything. I have this epic leather jacket catching dust from the past 2 years because its oversize.

- I chose to mind my own business, as most people are easily offended. They're used to their own way from a long ass time, and you telling them that their way has been crap all this time is not something anyone would take lightly.

There's this guy in my class with the MOST RANDOM ASS WTFBBQSAUCE HAIRSTYLE ever. Two of our teachers have teased him for it, I've teased him a couple times. But he refuses to realize it. Its just... WEIRDDDDDD. If I were to name that hairstyle, I'd call it jkflj;dljld blahghhghghghghgh

The jkflj;dljld blahghhghghghghgh. Catchy. :D

We should have a market place for trading oversized/undersized clothes. :p

I'm all for experimenting, but there's a difference between experimenting and being dumb. His hairstyle is the epicentre of paindaness.

sneakers are too sexy to be ignored and top of all you can match it up with anything.
Sneakers are nice, but you need at least two non-sneaker shoes in your closet to pair with different outfits and to get different looks.

When I wear a casual white shirt, with a grey sleeveless sweater and a pair of chinos, I cant ruin the look with sneakers. Finish the look with grey slip ons or rust hiking boots, and there you have yourself a complete gentleman.

could you please tell me if wearing branded outfits is the only way to fashion?
Yes and No. Fashion is not what you wear, its how you wear it. Give Rs. 15,000 to a painda and tell him to get an outfit from "insert big brand here," and there's a 90% chance he'll look as painda as he did before. The devil's in the details, brah :p @Anurin

There are certain things you have to know that you should avoid. Like, for example, you could buy a Rs. 4,000 T Shirt from Levis, with a big ass LEVIS written on it. So what do you have? A Rs. 4,000 paindi shirt from Levis.

The above was the "No" part. Now onto the "Yes" part.

Buying branded clothes is easier. You have to make a lot less effort. You can just visit one of the so many brands and buy what you like, by paying a little extra. One of my favourite Pakistani brands is Charcoal. Its decently priced, and the shit they have is epic.

I have an unbranded tuxedo which I've worn to a couple weddings. How much did I pay for it? Rs. 6,000. But it overshadows awam ke Rs. 30,000 walay suits. The only thing is, I found it after 3 days of khuwari and window shopping.

To extend my reply, after all the tiny details have been taken care of, fashion is ultimately how you carry yourself. Keeping your back straight, showing that you know you're hot by your body language, NOT fidgeting, NOT fixing your hair every time you see your reflection. Smiling. Taking it easy.

Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.
