Android police posted the OTA updates for 5.02 (5.0 --> 5.0.2), for our Nexus 7. You should check out a few of the recent posts there.

I didn't get the OTA, but i could simply flash the 5.0.2, after unrooting via SuperSU app, installing back a stock recovery. You can do that too. Stock recovery is needed because flashing OTA will fail on a custom one.

I haven't done it, yet. Lazy.
I havent rooted yet was expecting ota looks like i need to flash it myself again whats the improvement with update

And are you feeling performance drop ?

No idea about the changelog. Its probably a bug fix release.

I read somewhere that slower-than-usual performance on our Nexus 7 isn't because of Slower NAND .... talking for Lollipop only. Its because of a problem in Lollipop itself.

Anyway, who cares. Its an update, so just flash it.

Performance drop has been there since day one. Its working fine for the most part, but has obviously gotten much slower. But still works, so ...

I have stopped using Google Now Launcher, though. Google Now is another reason casuing major slow downs with the device. So basically i have stopped using:
- Google Now
- The Google search widget
- Google Chrome or the Chrome BETA ; I use Naked Browser on it as well, and it works beautifully.

Basically stop using intense apps. Use Bing search widget instead, if you can live with it -__-

Received the OTA UPDATE for 5.0.2 was around 13MB abobobilly
Yes it has downloaded the updated. Though i haven't installed it YET. Can't, because i have a custom Recovery.

To be able to flash the OTA, i'll have to get back to the Stock Recovery, and should have an UNrooted Device.

I am busy/lazy these days so don't feel like updating.

Pleasant ! Is USB OTG working for you on N7 2012 w/ 5.0?

EDIT: Nevermind. Its working. Glad i brought TWO OTG cables, because ONE of them pussied out on me (cable was being detected, but USB wasn't).

This brings me to another question. Can't we purchased some "Good quality" ones? Because these Rs.30 worth of cables aren't really very helpful.

Yes you can. Just buy an expensive phone and sell it without OTG cable. Even Ufone Smart U5 comes with quality cable. :p
