WELL a miracle happened with me lol

i opened up my nokia software updater as i did before aswell it did asked me to update before aswell but this time after a month or two i think it asked me today aswell so i did ! and afterwards it showed me the message which i always wanted to see it told me that v50 was finally available lol i quickly started dlding it and YES IT WAS 143mb to be exact :S i dlded it but after dlding i didnt install it atm since light was about to go so after all the loadshedding i connected my 5800 to pc and updated and my gosh such improvement lol the kinetic scrolling kicks ass lags have been gone and feels a bit fast too !

new ovi also installed and it asked me to delete old maps so i did ! but where to get new ones ? link please thanks !

so my problem is solved no need to change product code or whatever LOL.

i dont think maps are available for Pakistan atm via the ovi suite, or are they?

haha, dont know why it never told me for an update before :S but now suddenly, perhaps they implemented better updates for all version of the mobile ! never the less good

Lol iknow how happy u wud be as u were on dark age and joined the modern age
u must b enjoying the homescreen and kineticscroll
but i prefer v40 over v50 now they shud release v51

guys i need a tested software to lock the phone or lock messages - i hate those morrons friends "yaar mobile dikhaen" and they start reading you sms - low life morons.

so need an easy to use and reliable app so i can lock my complete phone or at-least the messages area. i haven't hacked my phone and don't no shit about that signing of app thing so if any one can guide me to the software with link and how to install if it requires certificate that will be helpful.

Now to ur problem, Handy Phoneguard is the perfect software for your needs, but unfortunately u would at least require to sign it first if not hack your phone. Hacking your phone is very easy and it does not void the warranty. I myself was very hesitant at the beginning to hack but I dd it.

guys im having a problem. whenever i go to the internet through the phones browser, the downloads window opens and it says that 'Trackreader(8)' has been saved to the memory stick. when i click on hide, it comes back again after a while and the browser shuts itself down. What should be done?

the problem looks weird something must have messed up Backup ur PHONE MEMORY and COPY ur PHONE CONTACTS

nothing will happen to you MEMORY CARD memory and SIM memory just do a HardReset

"Press and hold RED + GREEN + CAMERA when powering up.

Keep the keys pressed until you get the shaking hands. Keep the keys pressed until you get the shaking hands. That should fully reset the device

I got a new mem card. Its used, not new.
The phone picked it up, transferred songs and all was well till today when i tried to download and install apps.
First i tried opera mini, said me that i already have it installed (which i did in my previous mem card) but anyways i select over-rite option. The download completes and a prompt comes up and says the apps installed in the memory card may not be use-able, i press continue and the installation fails, same happens when i select the phone memory.

Formatted the mem card but no avail, and when i try to download apps which i had in my previous card like Youtube etc from Ovi store the download button is disabled, and other apps don't work either. They download and then when i install it, gives me an installation fail error.

So what should i do now? Hard reset? Also if i hard reset the phone will the be phone be rolled back to an older firmware?

no Reseting phone doesnt Remove Firmware
u can Try Soft reset *#7370#

Sure Reseting Phone makes the Phone fast as it becomes like Factory restored setting

Sure PM me the Link Unsigned isnt a Problem for me ever since i bought the phone never had to Hack it again After many Firmware Updates the Old ROM PATCHER works
it is just a Special case with me most of the ppl cant use old rom patcher after UPDATE
