^alright the line man came and checked wire and said line condition is good despite the joints in it,i asked him to change the wire and he said that new wire coming out is of pretty cheap quality and these old wires are much better than the new one and i was wtf....
plz tell me how to convince him to change the wire

Nope, they mistakenly must have updated your line profile to 2meg.

But the problem is that i am not getting the speed of 2MB and also my net has also started getting disconnected

That is because PTCL recently implemented package cap. Meaning doesn't matter if your line profile is 2mb or 10mb, if you are on 1meg connection you will get 1meg speed not 2/4/6/10.

It was as a sacrasm, i mean your ping does really suck(unless you have a wireless router )

ok guys got the lineman to change the wire from dp(which is 80 meters away) to home and only got 1 de sync problem in 7 hours and that too when answering the phone call(is splitter causing problem).previously it was disconnecting every now and then randomly.line attenuation is reduced by 5db(now 26db) and snr while still fluctuates but remain around 20 db so overall an improvement uptill now.
one thing i would like to ask that that lineman has given line some loops around an iron bar emanating from neighbor roof to support the wire,will it cause problem in anyway?(which i think it shouldn't as wire is insulated)

The most useless internet connection from an ISP like PTCL.
Nowadays, people can get a local DSL wire for as low as 300 Rupees, with P2P Capped (but other downloads allowed) and speeds upto 6MB/s. No stupid download limit or whatsoever.

Hats off to that fricckin idiot who came up with such a rubbish idea >_>

You live in ISB?? Which exchange u are connected to?? Because my latency is also very high
