yet you still dont get good pings... PTCL should really improve their quality instead of expanding them selves senselessly.

first they set it on 8mbps at that I was getting around 6.5mbps

complained and told them I also have smart tv so male the peofile proper. they gave me 12. so now its able to reach 8 easily n sometimes even 10mbps

this new package which they have launched can we also opt for it ---i mean its cheap ----later in jan we can revert back

yup u can. bcz the original uncapped 8mbps for 7k is still available

this is capped version but uncapped till jan 15

so if u r on standard 8mb package then get it changed to capped version

just think about even after jan you will get capped and if you don't download extra you will only be maxed charged up to 7000 rs so this package is better anyway unless they reduce the price of the unlimited package to compensate the 3k capped 8 mbps that goes upto 7k for uncapped is superior in everyway

it means 1mb student package cannot be upgdraded and student package not available for 4 mb packages

Student package save just only 199PKR so kindly change your package to 1mb student to 2mb normal than upgrade promo 4mbps

ahh guys is it me alone who is at G.LITE ADSL mode and who's speed is reduced by about 0.50-0.70 mbps at speedtest.ptcl and pings have increased by 10ms?
I switched it to ADSL2+ i got the same Ping times but with 3.7MBps. its kinda weird as i usually got 3.5mbps and about 45ms ping in G.LITE. now both have decreased

i am using ptcl 4mbps and my connection is also quite unstable lately.
and my upload speed is also decreased by 0.40mbps.

and here are my ADSL stats ,

And the weird part is that i get these stats only on G.LITE others are fine but since G.LITE offered me best possible pings i used it.

If your area has fiber optic for PTCL DSL connection, get it. Make sure that your house is not far away from exchange, since distance affects the line stats for phone line and DSL connection.

Yeah, we have fibre optic. Whats the farthest distance before the connection starts becoming unreliable? Also, I live in apartments - does that make any difference?
