Rats are bothering me :/

A rat has recently entered in my house and troubling me too much. Sometimes it appear on bed or sometime it rush from the back of basin of my toilet. I know that I have to seal all entrance to my home for mouse but this is a separate debate, right now I am thinking how I can KILL that rat.

This rat feels more excitement in moving my room especially so I will put trap in my room. I believe most suitable trap will be a glue trap. But I don't know where I can find it in the market (live in Karachi). So can anyone suggest me where I can buy glue trap or suggest me better trap with an attractive bait.

P.S This rat is not small tiny cute looking mouse. It is a rat with a medium-large size.

Buy 'Rat Poison' and scatter it in places the animal visits most.Its the most effective and will get you rid of the problem.These are never cute and can cause plethora of diseases.

get some dogs...i have the same issue..but my dogs sort it out for me ...rat poison etc dsnt work much for me....the rats have 'developed' ways to counter that

You have two choices.
1. Use a Sticky Glue to CATCH it.
2. Use a Rat Poison to KILL it.

Sticky Glues: Spread it on a piece of thick cardboard, with a Bread Piece (or Cheese) in the middle of it. Keep that cardboard piece in a dark corner of your room (e.g. Under the Bed, or Under a Trolley or something). The mouse will try to catch the piece, get stuck on the glue ... from where you can simply show the mouse outside.


Rat Poison: Well, its a poison. Go figure. Spread those tablets throughout room and the rat will eventually eat it and die. You'll have to be above 20 or something to be able to obtain those tablets.


Those 'trap cages' found in the market are pretty much useless. These rats are getting intelligent, so it won't catch the bait. So use the above options.

@Cops Call Me: dude theres a couple of insecticide shops at sabzi mandi opposite faizan e madina. They got very good bug killing stuff and provide extermination services etc. Have a look at them as well I think you'll find something for rats.

Don't listen to anyone . I came back to my house here and it was loaded with rats. I tried rat glue,all sorts of rat poison and only rat glue worked TO SOME EXTENT .The most effective method was to set up that mouse bait trap where you place a piece of meat/cheese on it and as soon as the rat tries to take it,it snaps and traps the rat.That is the most effective one.I caught a total of 12 rats from that trap and 4 from rat glue and literally ZERO from rat poison.

Would you like being told that you're disgusting filth that is not welcome anywhere? Would you enjoy running from traps, being poisoned?

If you have any shred of humanity in you, you'll respect the rat's feelings and leave it alone. That, and leave out some food for him and his family. The two of you will come to an understanding soon enough.

P.S: Play some good music every once in a while when you know the rat is near. I'm sure he'll appreciate the beauty of it. But don't play shit music. Play some classical.
