Yes PTCL evdo is damn expensive and not good..WC is giving evdo at fairly good price,as one of our member here (JIGGER) got it and is pretty satisfied customer..

d00d, as per me the ptcl evo is much faster if u can afford it.. speeds range from 3.1mb to 5mb

but everymonth its 2000rs which again is pretty cheap as if compared to the dsl 5000rs for 4mb and also its wireless just that u gotta pay 6000rs upfront is a bit high, if they come down to 3000rs its awesome or even 4000rs...

If you are willing to use it any way you can then you can get a motherboard that supports Dual LAN's then you can use LAN Bridging, you can then bridge the 2 LAN's which will enable you to use wired internet (or wireless if your router or motherboard support it). I'm thinking of getting this so will be able to help you more once I experiment with it as I too require my PS3 and XBox 360 to be online at all times as well as a few PC's.
the short answer is dude ditch the evdo and go ptcl dsl and enjoy hassle free wired onling gaming no signal trouble no unsyncing of modem
