The damage is based on lvls in Quas now thus you might need to change the build a little
Yes but that messes up Invoker. The 4 points in Quas were perfect - 2 forge spirits and perfect tornado timing for the meatball. Now if you add more points to quas, it messes that up (units are suspended in the air longer).

The biggest issue is that the coldsnap + autoattack combo does very little damage now at earlier levels.

Just abandoned a game due to a retarded paki I made the mistake to queue with. Lost one game with him (team of carries). Picked Kunkka next, called mid. Game starts and the dude picks Pudge and goes mid. I said dude? Sorry bro you didn't say anything :tv:

I hate abandoning games but.. damn.

I was wondering aside from obvious heroes like LS/Void what are other heroes its advisable to make midas on?

a couple of days back I saw a pa with midas and she was mostly jungling. Played one match with LD and there was midas recommended on him as well.

one more thing I always struggle with is when exactly to sell this item? when does its benefits (as+gold xp) become irrelevant. As in I usually sell Drums about 30 mins in... but I feel midas lends a helping hand in procing those bashes very well untill very late game when, say you need pure damage more...

In my opinion you usually build a midas if

- you like the cha ching sound.
- you need quick xp.
- you know itll be a long game with late game heroes on each team.
- you want to collect a lot of reliable gold to get a big item faster.
- you want to farm somewhat safely and effectively.

There is no obvious choice really. Depends on the game.

The 3rd point is quite wrong. It has been statistically proven that games in which Midas is made tend to have lower winrates as the duration of the game is increased.

Midas on most heroes is viable provided you get it really early. The only exception to which heroes, are heroes which need to gank a lot. Otherwise, make midas on anyone, its viable.

Im not that effecient in farming (either lane or jungle) but imo midas on LS/Void/PA makes a lotta sense as all three have abilities that benefit directly from the increased AS. especially with LS I can take 2 large camps in an instant with midas + ulti.

my question is exactly when to sell it for maximum benefit? one rule of thumb ive made is when theres two items in my inventory that have a hyperstone like a cuirass and mjolnir then midas is no more usefull... yes?

In my opinion making midas is not about making it early. If I feel that I won't be fighting for the next 10-15 minutes making a midas is probably a good idea. If the enemy team has a pushing/fighting line or you are a fighting carry like a mirana/LS midas might not be the optimal choice.
Another thing I notice is people going for midas after getting harrrased/killed in lane. If you were getting killed spending 2k gold on midas makes you more vulnerable.
The only heroes on which i regularly make midas are WK, Morph, Brood, OD and SF.

I sell midas when another item is more important than the midas e.g. ageis. I usually sell it after my item slots are full.

How is it wrong? A midas would increase xp gain giving you the advantage by leveling faster before the opposing late game heroes come online, which is primarily what a midas is used for. The longer the game goes on the xp advantage is nullified anyway since most heroes would be near the level cap.

Your comprehension of my point is wrong if anything.

Anyone following the summit tournament? What's up with the tinker ban in this tournament?

I was hoping Na'vi to secure their win against VG but I guess they will have to earn their spot in the finals the hard way.

I saw Dendi play tinker against Arteezy's SF. It was a dual lane for Arteezy actually (Wisp rarely left his side). NaVi won and Tinker performed quite well.

My last CD game on EU west when queing at 8AM in the morning:

Volvo please:gg:

Slardar and POTM were the main carries and they had the least farm, ironically. Slark had a skadi at 17 minutes and puck had a scythe of vyse at 20 minutes. Haven't seen anyone farm that fast in quite a while.

What's with the blink? :/ You had enough initiators. Force Staff or Eul's first.
