Bhai Logo, bhool jao YouTube kabhi nai khulni. I don't know why are you guys even "hoping" that our Govt will open it up after "this" puny incident. (I am even more surprised to see the happiness of some poor souls who think this is a "good" step, or are in this false happiness that "Google removed the video because it was anti-islamic". This just creates more twists thats all. But lets wait and see what happens.

Meanwhile, our Govt only showed us that they banned YouTube for Anti-Islamic films. Any of you have NO IDEA about their intentions because my guess is they banned it for their own gain.
Yeah, but there's a court verdict on Youtube this week. And I think the actual case will bring the question of govt's true intentions into place. The law wants an official regulation on internet censorship, and the case is certainly a pitch for it. Anyhow, Youtube will be opened in a matter of time.

Currently, both (PTA Chief and IT Ministry Anusha Rehman) are abroad, so expect some bombardment of lawyers and media on them as soon as they come back.

Wo kameeni Anusha Aunti aaj tak to court main aayi nahi, ab faislay k din zaroor chakkar lagaye gi /s <_<

She should be apprehended for doing contempt of court.

That being said, i am hoping for NOTHING positive. They will most certainly bring out another reason to ban YouTube.

Finding that reason out is what they're striving for. If done rightfully, it would lead the courts to do more open scrutiny.

And about them being abroad, don't worry since courts have said that they will give a verdict regardless.

Pakistan ka Judicial system sub dramay baazi hay brother. Itna bharosa na karo iss pe.

Like pehle court ki saari baatein suntay hain ye log :laugh1:
Who cares if they listen or not? The important aspect is the proceeding. If one firm (Bytes for All in this case) gets to see some glory out of it, expect many others to follow. It piles on and on to become a burden. And waisay bhi, scrutiny is the key word. I'll repeat it again, if govt. is hiding its true intentions, only the courts can bring them out.

I'll post some direct remarks from the last hearing of the case. You'll get a better idea then.

Yaar that's a flat conspiracy because PTCL gaining like that has no long-term use. I mean bandwidth, seriously it sounds ridiculous. Besides, PTCL has already registered its complaints to PTA about the situation and why Youtube censorship is hurting their PR (personal sources from courts).

Let's say this is true though. You think other ISPs won't get a whiff of this without making some claims themselves? I can't understand why you're all thinking that govt. can't be touched on this. The fact is, there will be a verdict announced soon on Youtube ban, and it will turn a lot of heads. PTCL is a big ISP, yes it's the biggest in Pakistan. But worldwide there's a recognition to keep in place (in relation to HR monitors, media watchdogs). Moreover, instead of losing all hope on internet censorship it's time everyone starts following the pages of folks that are trying their best to deal with this idiocy. I'm not saying to promote KholoBC songs, but at least let's keep our heads together on lifting the ban. I'm fed up with all those comments saying We should go to stone ages or Internet will be dead in Pakistan.

Legally speaking, govt. has shown nothing literally. So keep those conspiracies as conspiracies cause the law will want legit answers.

Ranger Taffles! I posted his comments not because i agree with them, but because he makes good points. My only agreement with him, with the point of Monopoly. As long as PTCL is in a monopolistic condition in Pakistan, don't expect anything to change soon. Even 3G won't make much of a difference, i believe. (but it just might, you never know)

As for YouTube, yes i agree with you and thats why i still consider everything a conspiracy. My problem, then? I consider everything to be a conspiracy :laugh1:

Anyway, lets just wait and see the court's verdict. Will be interested to see what happens.

Still, I don't like either Sony or Microsoft as they are focusing more on corporate greed than delighting customers. PC gaming is best of gaming and worth every penny.

PC Gamer score of 58/100 for Hellblade 2??? Is it really worse than Gollum that was 64/100? Microsoft games can't even come close to high scores of Sony exclusives apparently.

About the Microsoft (and Sony) debate, I feel both have become too greedy and losing their minds over corporate greed. Personally, I will never buy any console next gen and switch to PC gaming where democracy reins.
