Noc from pta - urgent help needed

When this happened? I just bought HHD 2TB + HeadPhone from ebay in this early year (Feb 2014) and seller send me with lower price and fake description? you should ask seller if he/she does it so you will purchase it.

Yea but some seller are strict they don't do it when item is costly. Problem with me is my employer sent me this phone as gift i told him that ask seller to put low value or mark as gift but i think the seller did not. I also bought 3 shirts once from ebay and seller mark them as gift. Chinese sellers are great :soh:

Yes they are super, even there quality is best then chinese product you bought from here.

Any one got noc from PTA just by emailing?

Any one got NOC from PTA just by emailing? I am seeing a method in which you email details here [email protected].
But i dont think so they do response from this.
I emailed them but no reply or acknowledgment from them therefore i post documents via TCS. lets see now.

acha hoga aap apne kisi jan'ne waly ko documents send kar dein jo Islamabad mein ho aur wo apko NOC le kar jaldi send kar de ga. Is traah to apko boht rent bharna pary ga.

15 ko documents milay. 16 ko Email ki jis ka reply ya acknowledgment aaj tak nahi aaya. 17 ko mai ne documents TCS kardaye beech mai sunday ki waja se 20 ko mean k aaj receive howe un ko. aaj bhi koi reply email ya sms nahi aaya. kal umeed hai k send kardainge warna kal phir dost ko pta k office bhijwaonga. yaar kia sms bhi kartay hain woh jab aap ki appliction by email ya by post un ko milti hai? aur phone to utha hi nahi rahay? kon sa number dial kia tha aap ne?

does PTA ever replied to email ? Emailed them all doc related to NOC 4 days ago still no reply. TCS the documents yesterday lets see. What is the minimum processing time for NOC any idea ?

ok today i got my NOC after 4 days atleast some departments still works on monday i will throw this NOC on the customs officer face its a pretty easy thing if PTA had an office in lahore well problam solved thanx

Alas! i am living in Islamabad, booked handset by using Aliexpress which is in cargo 10 days ago, i received letter from sender that my order is detained after 4 days and then saturday sunday is off i went to PTA head office on monday summited documents they said they will send me via TCS on my adress the NOC but i am still waiting and its been 5 days now yesterday was 25th December holiday now i approached someone in PTA they said we cannot give you by hand as it is already dispatched, even they are not giving me any tracking number so that i can cotact TCS. really exhausted. i called their helpline many times their dont even bother to attend it, so guys what ever u need for NOC is called khuwari

hiya guys i had an iPad air 2 (Wifi Only) coming from US through DHL but now it is held at customs ( checked the status)...i personally think they held it for PTA NOC...i never knew that they had this NOC restriction on tablets as well...any easy solution like quaid-e-azam or will hv to bear the tiring efforts of getting it released after getting NOC?...plz respond

Hey a relative of mine in USA is sending me ipad mini retina wifi only through usps. Please guide me will there be any panchait in importing because phones are already banned and NOC have to be obtained and there is a lot of khuwari. Or the process will go smoothly?

no u dont need any NOC if u are bringing it in hand carry.......
u can bring 2 cell phones legally without being questioned by any authority..
as a safety keep one cell phone in ur pocket.

Kindle PaperWhite:: NOC from PTA is required or not?

Hope you people are fine. I'm planning to import Kindle Paperwhite (e-book reader) via myUs.com (mail forwarders). In this regard i've read somewhere that in some cases you've to get NOC from PTA, otherwise they'll held your imported items. Plz. advice me, is it required for importing e-book reader? (provided kindle paperwhite has no IEMI number)

Additionally, should i use myUs.com or any other mail forwarder? and which shipping method should i choose? (DHL, Fedex .. etc)

yar total aik din ke game hai. It takes 15 - 30 minutes. I went to their office, you need to have contact. They'll give you an NOC against the IMEI of the device. Then you type down an authority letter and if the DHL box is in your name, then write it in your name. Sign and attach a cross copy of your NIC. Then call the DHL guy, he'll come to your home and pick it up himself.

Give him 200 - 300 Rs just for chai paani. Then in 3 - 4 days , they'll call you kay custom duty is over 20,000. You need to know some people there too. However, if the declared value of the tablet seems "realistic" or you know the main quality controller or branch manager at DHL, he'll decrease the custom duty to over 3,000. Afterwards, the DHL courier guy will bring in the stuff.

By the way, pay a visit to DHL office nearby, meet the manager or SCM and tell him the scenario. He'll help you. Don't worry at all yar. Aur don't be depressed kay meray sath he hamesha bura hota hai waghaira . This is a learning experience. I have faced it as well and it was overall good.

DHL will not take under the table money. But if you have met people in person, they'll help you. Also one more thing, the customs guys at the airport will tear off the IMEI number strip for assholish reasons. But you will get all your devices in mint condition.

Here;s a sample copy of DHL NOC that i used recently to clear my boxes. I have been doing this for a while now. But i think you should use USPS to get your stuff. This way you are able to deal directly with customs guys or you dont get to deal with them at all, they deliver to your doorstep if you know the postman in your area.

Package slip through nai ho ga and anger will not resolve the issue. I have done this. But gave some useful tips to the gentleman in question. Insha Allah he'll get it in no time.

Yes, i agree. But there are two reasons:

1. Ransom in name of custom fee.

2. Protocol for national security (just SOP if you ask me)

I have just received my NOC today and following is the procedure (as no one on this thread have mentioned the complete and detailed steps.

Things you have to submit to PTA at "[email protected]" and address to "Mr. Talib Dogar, Director General (Services), PTA Headquarters, Sector F-5/1, Islamabad. Phone: 051-9216767, Fax: 051-9216644".
1. Requesting letter with details (Name, CNIC No., Contact No., Address, AWB/Tracking No., Quantity, IMEI No.)
2. Copy of Shipping Document (provided by DHL in my case or collect from GPO if courier is Pakistan Post)
3. Copy of Customs Letter (provided by DHL in my case)
4. Copy of Commercial Invoice
5. Copy of CNIC
6. Have patience after submitting as I received my NOC via TCS on 6th day after submission.

You can also mail these details PTA Headquarters (address mentioned above) but emailing them worked for me.
