how many have you attended and which one was it?

I've attended 2:MUNiC and GMUN

I just started MUNing this year. MUNIK was my first.
btw, nowadays, most of the students come to MUNs for the social events, especially beach trips.

My friends attended MUNIK III, perhaps you might know them considering they won the best delegate award and honorary mention, their names are Muqadus Tabraze and Ahmed Ali Kalhoro.

been to SMAMUN,RMUN,BMUN,ACMUN and LUMUN...ab MUNing fail ho chuki hai...EVERY institute is starting their own(FC COLLEGED KA MUN BHI HORHA HAI SHRU!! DAFUQ?!?!)back in my time it was serious business...ab majority sirf poondi and shughal ke liye jati hai...kisi commitee mein beth ke dekh lo 20 log hain agar to un mein se mushkil 10 will speak and of those only 3-4 will be good the rest will speak for the sake of speaking...and those that dont speak are there just to oggle...

Like the past two have mentioned, the MUNNing business, it's honestly just poondi now. Just poondi. Been a silent observer at the ACMUN this year. I cannot express the depths people went to there this year .
A few of my friends were in the security and management committee and they were busy in doing poondi when one of the delegations came. Boy the days after that with them were epic :lol:
Even [MENTION=14162]Yasir[/MENTION] would testify to the poondi part. Been there done that. Attended and participated in quite a few of those. They don't appeal me anymore due to the MUN losing it's traditional from. The Harvard MUN in China is still epic, and had I had the time, I surely would've gone with the sponsorships(not an issue).

In all seriousness, just keep in mind that you will sway MILES aside from your topic at hand so you need to be prepared for that. I was never a debater but after my first MUN experience, I'm taking up every debating opportunity possible.

MOST delegates in the committees are absent minded or don't say anything at all and are concerned mainly with the chicks but those who are there for the debating experience go home with one hell of an experience indeed.

I have been twice to MUN's

1.MUNIK 2012 (DISEC)
2.ShoreMUN 2011 (DISEC)

was thinking of going to PAFMUN too but decided not to.Sadly DISEC committee sucked so much in MUNIK with about 274 delegates(double delegation) that it was hard to even get an opportunity to speak, other committees had about 60 delegates.Got pissed so much.Never ever doing DISEC again.

ShoreMun was held in my school (not a proud member of the school, mind you)
The beach party was okay but way too many druggies. It was like a house full of smoke and myself being the only one who didn't smoke. -_-

The actual 'debating' portion of MUN was the best experience for me, regardless. The sessions were really long and debating was intense. Though about 75% of the committee hardly ever spoke unless pointed out. I raised a question against Netherlands on their stance on the banning of pornography (as we had it banned on the resolution) The guy stood up and said ,"Sir it is my first time at munik, I don't know anything, can I sit down?" :lol: I was like wtf!

Yes, I am but I also have the lowest attendance in school. Party school = BULLSHIT stereotype. Don't get me wrong though, the school sucks just as much for a shit load of other reasons, prominently because it's an accumulation of all the rejected students.
I was at the concert too. They had some barricade separating crowds. I came for fifteen minutes, witnessed about 60 people stampede through the main gate and the guards unable to control them Headed out before it even started.
