I am considering legal action but need some advice on what to do regarding my ISP.

Guys I live in Lahore DHA and have been using worldcall internet for years, but lately they have been blocking my internet on purpose.I am not a heavy downloader I buy 90% of my games through PSN and download them and play online,occasionally I download a movie or two.

But suddenly my internet goes away and then when I call the help line and scream at them a little it comes back almost instantaneously. and the most obvious proof I have is that other people in my area who are using worldcall are getting internet when mine is down so they cant say that ,"sir area down hai".

What should I do guys? I pay for an unlimited connection and they say so on their website and advertisements and everywhere and even if there was a supposed cap(like zong 4g,etc),then the consumer is not aware of it and how can the consumer keep track of it because they have no facility to tell that you have used 60% of your monthly internet cap.

Please Advice guys, also tell me where can I send them the legal notice if I want to take them to court. Because if I send them a legal notice I will not only do it for my personal reasons but will capture them on everything like false advertising,etc

Is Worldcall internet really worth getting stuck in a legal battle for years or decades? At the end, even if you win, there will be little gain.

Just change your ISP.

WorldCall is useless. The only scenario in which they are good is if you don't have any other option.
I also live in DHA Phase 4 and after getting the new optical fibre PTCL number after switching from Wateen, my life has never been more comfortable.

TLR ask your exchange to install an Optical Fibre line (new number) if you don't already have and enjoy PTCL

No it wont take years like ordinary case, its consumer based complaint and as per law Courts are bound to decide the case within six months.

Worldcall is a dead ISP, don't bother.

I'd go with everyone else's suggestions and change the ISP, get PTCL for the time being and wait for a Fiber Based ISP to set up in DHA if there isn't one already.

Bro the Wateen guys straight up asked for 11000 something for a new connection, I was like no way,I can get two new PS4 games with that.

I have had my fair share of bad experience with PTCL but when they are providing me good service for the past 3 years then why should I complain. Yes, I do get some issues with slow internet or disconnect for few hours but when you lodge a complain, the issue goes away within 24 hours which is fine by me.

I have been playing multiplayer games like forever. Currently, I am playing Heroes of the Storm, StarCraft 2 on daily basis and I get a ping of about 200 in both of them. Sometimes it is increased to 300 but I can still play.

I live in Phase 4 since 2008. First I went with World Call, it sucked even back then. Within few months moved to PTCL DSL. After a year and a lot of disconnections, frustration and line faults later I moved to Wateen Cable and I never faced any problems. Absolutely no downtime even when power goes out for whole day. I've played over 300 hours of GTA Online, and it was smooth. With PTCL it was almost impossible to play online because of disconnections. The ping is lowest I get as compared to other ISPs.

About the price, i don't know why you're being quoted 11,000. Look at the tariff on their website including upfront charges. Its a lot less than you mentioned. Maybe you're also opting for digital TV? In that case you will have to pay for the digital box which is expensive. Only opt for cable internet and it will be a lot cheaper.

Worldcall was the first ISP in my area that provided broadband and so I have been a customer of theirs since 2003. 13 years later, its a completely different story and ive had to move on and I'd recommend everyone else to too.

Thing is, WorldCall is a dying company. Their employees, most of them, have 5-8 salaries pending, some, even more.

Forget that you'll get a penny in compensation, you'll actually spend more in pursuing the case.

Like everyone else has said, best option? Find a new ISP.
