How to send SMS from PC with Android Phone?

is there any app or way by which we can connect our android cell to pc n type n send texts directly from there n option of viewing texts there?
i remember doing that long time ago on nokia phone wid help of pc suite software

There's also Mighty Text. I found its interface neat and good and the extension is available for Chrome as well.

MT seems same as smscenter,can it be used via cable or wifi only?
airdroid seems more like kind of team viewer,no cable is a downside as wifi will eat battery n cable would have been faster compared to wifi

texts wid signature causing lots of empty space were real pain,finally that will b over n typing long text as well

Airdroid will do the job for you just fine.. or you can also use Wondershare Mobile Go.

tried MT,n then sms center,usb option kept saying desktop device isnt on,both apps worked fine wid wifi
sms center is really good since it isnt just browser but an app on app so better UI,also alot better to view long msgs easily

I'm ashamed that I forgot AirDroid.

One thing to keep in mind is that WiFi doesn't eat a lot battery compared to a data connection on the network, plus WiFi can also operate on a low power state as well.

I prefer AirDroid which can control sms and also internal files and camera on your phone.

no worries
wifi is on,cell is on charging on bed n em texting easily from pc,no need to even look at cell,now dis is life
em using sms center,its also showing names of contacts which MT wasnt
n also its showing as threaded as well as seperately inbox sent etc making it quite easy wid long texts showing individually

airdroid also shows like this?
i guess gotta try that n see how well is that

no there ain't, google wondershare mobilego a best pc suite for android devices..you can get your phone connected with it either through usb or wifi (even its wifi is faster then airdroid or any other app).

Okay i think there are enough suggestions for the thread maker to choose from.

• Wondershare MobileGo
• Mobogene
• Moborobo
• AirDroid
• My Phone Explorer (have the advantage that you don't have to be rooted to take backup of your phone)

These are enough and work extremely well. Choose whichever one you like.

Personally, i'll prefer MobileGo and AirDroid over the rest of the lot.

i'll give a try to mobilego though from description seems like others
airdroid is also pretty good
but i am using "sms center" n it is pretty good for the purpose i required
it shows texts threaded as well as seperately in inbox sentbox etc which helps me with long empty texts,dont have to scroll in threaded msgs +1 for this app though for any new test have to switch between folders
