Today when i tried to order a phone for a relative of mine i was greeted with the unpleasant selection box of "No Warranty" or "Homeshopping Warranty 1000+" :chair:, a friend of mine bought the same phone from them a few weeks back with with their full warranty without the extra charge. Adding all the warranty and delivery charges, these guys are getting pretty expensive.

I guess HSN is trying to compete the local market since many phones are available in local market without warranty. With this option one can save some money and have option to go with without warranty.
Yea that would be great BUT the problem is that they have not given any benefit to the consumer by decreasing the price of phones if we take them without warranty, rather they have simply added another RS 1000 to 2000 on the same existing prices for warranty !!

This warranty was previously included in the price. My friend ordered the same phone with warranty for the same price a couple of weeks back and now i have to pay RS 1000 or 2000 extra for the same thing. Feels like a ripoff

What they should do is include the price of warranty in the phone. (Let's take the S3 for an example)
Price: 48,990 (including warranty).
Then they should have an option for 'No Warranty' where the price is automatically decreased to 46,990.
This 2000 wala thingy is crap. I hope they will realize it or I'm going to have to move back to Shophive regardless of their overpriced stuff.

Its unlikely that they will be doing that, now that they are well known and well established they have just introduced this extra charge to cash in on their reputation. :looking:?Greed?:looking:

Anyhow, what are the other reliable alternatives to homeshopping ?

Yes, many customers used to say that original price is less on this source and HSN used to say that we may give it to you at this price without warranty etc.

But just increasing the extra charge for warranty is stupid. They should decrease the price of "without warranty" stuff.

Anyway, iShopping is a good site for an alternative.

@ Lord Ammar, AsknAsk.......here is my recent Hsn order

This is the advert:

This is my online question about orange colour availability, which was answered in YES:

And this is my email cancelling the order due to no orange colour availability

Not to mention the factbthat laptop was shown to be i5 but was i3 actuly, but as it was cleared before ordering so no biggy, but advert still says i5 :)

I think its evidence enough. You guys ( lord ammar, Ask nAsk) partners with HSN.???

I see alot of hate towards HSN here, some which is true, no doubt. The point is that they are not perfect, far from perfect actually. But they are not forcing anyone to buy anything from them. All of you should know that they did announce about the warranty issue before starting it (on their facebook page and website afaik), now it's your choice if you want to buy from HSN or anyone else. Though, I agree that the info present on their product pages can sometimes be misleading, that's mainly because they copy paste from official pages of the respective vendor.

I can only write about my own experience here which is only positive. Products I've bought from them include HTC EVO 3D, 2x HTC Chacha, Nexus S and Nexus 7. Not even once did I face any issue regarding the product they sent. However, I still believe they shouldn't use BlueEx for shipping as they take alot of time shipping to smaller cities.

And no, neither am I partners with them nor do they pay me to write this post.

Did y'all see the new Assassin's Creed trailer? They finally made a AC set in Japan & then they put a negro as the male protagonist. Ubisoft is taking cues from Disney, and it isn't gonna end well for them, just like Disney. Go woke, go broke!
