Well, want to switch from nokia 701 (Great device for me but gonna die soon as there are even no quality apps available) to a good Android device which apart from being top-end Android device, it would have good enough battery juice to ATLEAST last a day with moderate use and also not have HUGE screens and last but not the least, it should last a year or two regarding Android updates.

Since i am n00b related to Android , i did some extensive research as i want to invest my hard-earned cash in some good device, so the devices that are good enough related to my range of around Rs. 50k to 55k are HTC One S, One X and S2.

Can anyone suggest among these some other good enough phones?

Go for HTC one S. It doesnt have a too huge screen, has good battery life and will get updates for a long time. The sony xperia S also fits in your criteria but the one S is just a better phone and fits in your budget.

The one X while technically being the best phone in your budget doesnt have a particularly good battery life and the screen is huge.

Thanks for the quick reply but why One X dont have good battery life? because of Huge and HD screen? plus u know the price of One S? know any good website for the prices?

The quad core tegra 3 chipset is not very efficient, other phones with HD screen tend to last longer because of more efficient chipset.

One S is priced at 48k right now.

nexus has not enough battery backup . plus its not future-proof :(
It's battery is fine and it is also future proof in terms of android updates as it is a flagship google phone.

It does have a too huge screen which is the only thing that doesnt suit your criteria.

Well galaxy nexus is the best suture proof phone you can buy regarding android updates/

As far as suggestion i also suggest HTC One S because of its good processor, good camera, perfect size, good looking screen, good battery life and a nice design.

My abdvise would be either go for Galaxy Note
or S3

The best android devices out there. Note has an awesome battery backup.

If not then go for the new Motorolla Razrrz

But has 4.8 inch screens and PENTILE display so not fond of those two things :(
Then forget about HTC one S as it has much worse pentile display.

But I am positive you havent used a galaxy nexus or S3, HD pentile is not at all what you normally associate with pentile.

Go for S3 if you wanted to be future proofed for a year or two as you can see still there are many development support available for even S1, Go and get S3, Don't by Xperia S its simply Xperia *ucks

Bro I would have loved to buy S3 if it would been in my price range and would have a much smaller screen. 60+ k cellphones are no-go for me. Plus since i have used Symbian only , as 701 is my last phone , so I have heard that pentile sucks for those who have previously used HD displays ONLY and won't effect me much as I haven't used any HD displays. Is that true??

I know that the best dev support is of Samsung galaxy series phones but I can't afford 62k phones with huge screens ....

the wholesale price is 58k, then you should wait for the Xperia ION to launch in Pakistan.
