help me in maths question

guys i have to submit 2moro..i need help as i cannot solve this question!!!

1.

if a person has n-2 apples, and he buys 50% more apples. then if customer buys 25% apples, then how many apples will he have left.

That would be the right answer unless the 25% apples the customer buy is of the total apples i.e. after adding 50%.

THE ABOVE GIVEN ANSWER IS WRONG

Correct one

(n-2) apples at the moment

Getting 50% more means
(n-2)+50/100(n-2) Since % means out of hundered
Now a customer buys 25% apples then we will be left with 75% of apples, so
75/100((n-2)+1/2(n-2))
3/4(2(n-2)+n-2)/2 Took LCM and simplified in this step
3/8(2n-4+n-2)
3/8(3n-6)
3*3/8(n-2) Took 3 common
9/8(n-2)
