MULTI Halo: Reach coming to Master Chief Collection in December

343 Industries confirms rumors that Halo: The Master Chief Collection will come to Xbox One. It has a release date too: November 11.


It'll include Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3, and Halo 4. The collection will feature a unified interface to access all four games with everything unlocked on one disc. The collection can be played in a seamless journey.


They've also detailed that Halo 2 will get the full anniversary treatment with ability to switch from classic to updated graphics. Also coming is Halo 2 Anniversary online multiplayer fully intact. A multiplayer match was demo'd on stage. Confirmed is dedicated server support for the multiplayer.


The collection will ship with all multiplayer maps from all games (over 100 maps) and will feature 1080p/60fps gameplay. Up to 4,000 gamerscore points can be achieved along with beta access to Halo 5: Guardians this December

Indeed, it is great value for money.

Although, visually, I can't help but feel disappointed by what I saw of Halo 2's MP footage. For a game that's supposedly a remake and is moving across two generations of consoles, I expected a better looking showing. I guess being 1080p/60fps had to take its toll elsewhere. Plus, they still let you switch to the classic versions on-the-fly, so I'm assuming there's 2 instances of the game running simultaneously.

Halo 4 should look great, though, since it was already a pretty looking game on the Xbox 360. A boost in resolution and frame rate should give it a notable facelift.

seriously? u got all that from a off-the-screen MP footage? even though its not the right way to judge a game's visuals still did u not see the remade look of the map? its probably not comparable to halo5 but considering its running on the vanilla engine, it looks just as good(maybe more) as any similar map from halo4.
yes its 2 instances of the game running just like the original remake but this time its utilizing the technical muscle with fullHD 60FPS experience. i know its a long shot but maybe they support stereo 3D too?

Yes the visuals were awesome but that story was something that I'll always remember.... MASTERPIECE.... How many games are out there that make an AI that likeable !!!!

Kudos to all Xbox1 owners.... Epic bundle headed their way....

Agreed, Halo 4 was indeed the best looking FPS on the last-gen consoles. Looking forward to seeing some footage from the remaster.

Probably the best reveal at Microsoft's conference. Will buy an Xbone when Halo 5 is released next year along with this collection.

If only Halo Reach and Halo ODST somehow make their way to Xbone too, that will be epic. All halo games on platform, perfect for one big HALOTHON.

speaking realistically u cant expect them to remake halo2 to rival anything the competition can throw at u. thats just not how remakes/remasters are done. also i m pretty sure to get that kind of result, they have to build the game from scratch(like halo5) which is not the focus since its all about preserving the original experience/feel.

^ 343 did a fucking amazing job at the CGI prologue and epilogue of Halo 4. It was really photo-realistic at some points.

Best bundle in the history of gaming. 4 complete games plus full MP support for 60$. MS should bundle this with XOs, I am sure it will move a lot of consoles.
