PC version of The Master Chief Collection drops Dec. 3


Halo: Reach, Bungie’s 2010 prequel to the original Halo: Combat Evolved, is coming toHalo: The Master Chief Collection on Dec. 3. Microsoft and 343 Industries announced the release date for Halo: Reach during today’s Inside Xbox livestream from X019 in London.
Halo: Reach will be available on the Xbox One version of The Master Chief Collection, and will come to Windows PC the same day. PC gamers can purchase the entire Master Chief Collection, which will include six games, for $39.99, or they can purchase Halo: Reachseparately for $9.99. On Xbox One, The Master Chief Collection also costs $39.99. The collection is also playable through Xbox Game Pass.
Microsoft announced The Master Chief Collection for Windows PC — and Halo: Reach forThe Master Chief Collection — earlier this year. On PC, the Halo games featured in The Master Chief Collection will be rolled out over time, with Reach bowing first.

Played some multiplayer yesterday. Halo with mouse in 2019 feels so strange. Jow many fanboy fights I had over this particular game. Nostalgia.

Decent experience. The only other games in the franchise I haven't played now are the Halo 2 Anniversary and Halo 5, let's see how soon they come to PC.

The game is running at the max. Inside there's only resolution, V-Sync and a Graphics Quality button which just changes between Original and Enhanced (only effects LoD).

No AF unless you force it through the GPU control panel, which I didn't know/do before.

The game surprise launched on Tuesday

Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary surprise launched Tuesday on Windows PC via Steam, Microsoft Store, and Xbox Game Pass for PC. It follows Halo: Reach, which was released last year, as part of Halo: The Master Chief Collection. The rest of the games — Halo 2: Anniversary, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, and Halo 4 — are all expected to launch before the year’s end.
Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary is a remastered version of the original game, which allows players to switch between “classic game graphics and the fully enhanced version” of the game. The developer said it’ll run at 60 frames per second with 4K UHD support on PC.
It’s available as part of the Xbox Game Pass for PC, or purchasable as part of Master Chief Collection on the Microsoft Store and Steam for $39.99. If you only want Halo: CE Anniversary, you can buy that individually for $9.99. (The same goes for Halo: Reach.)
Halo: Reach had a rocky launch on its December release date, but 343 Industries said it’s since fixed the audio and stuttering issues that plagued players. Once it knocked out the bugs, the developer took aim at players who’ve been gaming the system to unlock items in the new progression system.
The next iteration of Halo, Halo Infinite, is expected out this year.

Halo 2: Anniversary will join Halo: The Master Chief Collection for Windows PC on May 12, developer 343 Industries announced Tuesday. It follows Halo: Reach and Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary.
343 Industries began its public beta for Halo 2: Anniversary in April, which was open to Halo Insider participants. Halo: The Master Chief Collection for PC was announced in March 2019 and the developer’s been rolling out releases since. Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversarywas released in March. The rest of the games — Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, and Halo 4 — are expected to launch before the year’s end.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection is available as part of Xbox Game Pass for PC or through the Master Chief Collection on the Microsoft Store and Steam for $39.99. Each game has been available individually for $9.99.
The next Halo game, Halo Infinite, is slated for release in holiday 2020 alongside the Xbox Series X.

Halo 3 coming to PC on July 14



It’ll be part of the Master Chief Collection

The last installment of the original Halo trilogy will arrive on PC on July 14. Halo 3 will be part of The Master Chief Collection, available to purchase via Steam and the Microsoft Store. It’ll also be available for free through the Xbox Game Pass for PC subscription service. The other Halo games currently available to play on PC are Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, andHalo: Reach (which will be joined by Halo 3: ODST and Halo 4 down the road, promises 343 Industries). All of these games require the purchase of The Master Chief Collection on PC and can’t be purchased individually.

The first-person shooter originally came out in 2007, with much critical acclaim for its multiplayer and replayability. Halo 3 quickly became the best-selling game of that year.

If this isn’t enough Halo news for you, don’t worry: 343 Industries plans to show off Halo Infinite, the newest Halo installment, later this month during an Xbox Game Studios event on July 23. The game itself is set for a late 2020 release date.
