Disappointing win from Germany, hopefully they will improve their game and go on to win the cup ... but the way they played today i have a bad feeling about them :/ Algeria on the other hand played superbly

Ah a World Cup trophy evades yet another African nation. Algeria were one of the better teams this tournament. Sad to see them go out.

France vs Germany is a mouth-watering contest. QF's are shaping up nicely.

Germany was somewhat of a vulnerable side today, even though they ultimately managed to pull through. France vs Germany should be interesting. I was originally rooting for Germany, but am slightly more inclined towards France for the quarter-final. Should be a great match, either way. I'm hoping the winning team manages to make its way to the final.

Argentina go through by the skin of their teeth. I only caught ET where the Swiss were dominating. Messi just needed some space and he assisted a goal.
Di Maria is a fantastic player.

Belgium have been so underwhelming in this tournament. They play at a pedestrian pace. Never seen them pick the tempo up when they need to.
