Very true Conscript. I downloaded and played Fifa09. I know how fans feel about it but I wouldn't take it on PS3 even if someone gave it to me free. *looks at guyzone*

umm...beloshi and shyber at the risk of sounding rude i'd say that either both of you have been living under a rock for the past couple of years or you have absolutely noooo idea what fifa is all about....see the thing is the fifa on the PS3 and the 360 is completely different from the one on the PC.The engine used in the PC version is completely different than the one in its console counterparts...the PC one is akin to the one used in the ps2 version albeit a few changes...In a nutshell the fifa on the PC SUCKS ASS...whereas the one on the consoles is a strong contender for the footy game of the season....so i guess there is a slight difference eh!!....again,I say with the best intentions ...

Intentions would be more respectable with a credible source backing up your arguments. THis was teh case with Fifa07 and prior and the newer PC iterations are direct console ports. After all, the PC is a superior piece of hardware at an average level which wasn't the case a couple of years back.

Guys you've got it all wrong. Fifa on Xbox360 and PS3 is a competely different game its no where near anything as the PC version.. There are 2 versions of Fifa.. One is the Current Gen version which is on PSP/Wii/PC and the 2nd version is Next Generation version which is only on Xbox360 and PS3.. Its an amazing game on PS3/X360.. Believe me its not anything like the PC version. I am in love with the PS3 version.. You never get tired of it.

This is why they are charging around 5800-6000 for this game.. Its in great demand.. I would never pay for this game if it was the same on PC.. Im buying Fifa 09 from play-asia.com it will cost me 3800rs and it will take 10 days to arrive because i will be using free shipping so i will get the game till 25th of this month for 3800rs (I save 2200rs )

Wrong. I'm sorry to disappoint you guys but the "Next Gen" versions are PC/PS3/X360 and lighter versions are on Wii/PSP/PS2 etc.

Your claims have actually led me to wonder if you've actually seen the PC version. It is, in fact, the most superior of all versions.

Ive played the PC version i downloaded it a few days ago. It is not the next gen version. Have you played fifa on Ps3/X360 ? The Pc version is not really superior

I have been part of the fifa EA forums for a long time and see this:

^^ And here it states that the next gen is 360/Ps3 current gen is PC/PSp etc ..

Although yeah Fifa 09 on PC is vastly improved, its gameplay is still current gen.

he is correct mr ill just make stuff up that conforms with the patterns. phew.

fifa on pc is still based on last gen versions and isnt nearly as awesome as the nextgen version. im not talking about graphics only here. anyways, hope guyzone ps3 stops acting up.

Seriously mate where have you been all this time. Fifa 09 pc is not even close to what the next gen consoles offer. In terms of graphics and gameplay.

Just go through some youtube videos and you will see for yourself.

Fifa09 pc is still very very similar to fifa08, its just the grounds that have been changed( they are more greener now) but the players and their animations are still old gen. The pc version of 08 is not even close to Fifa 08 NG.

Dude, cut me some slack here. I saw low res vids of the PS3 version and ran the PC version at 1680x1050 max details. Certain options like fur shaders on grass and soft shadows totally convinced me that this can't be the PS2 port.

That's a new low for EA ports. Friggin unbelievable and beyond any realm of common sense. I'm shocked...

Apologies to everyone guys. A mishap probably 'cos of my overall lack of interest in sports videogames but a real stupid one none the less. Carry on the drool fest fans. :wink2:

pc version is no where closer to 360 version of the game..
i've got both of them
though the fifa 09 on pc is visually better than tha fifa 08 which was just a minor squad update to fifa 07
but 360/ps3 versions looks like a completely different game..
