You shouldn't always do that. It reduced the life of your battery. Charge it as soon as you feel the need. Always going below 40% and charging isn't such a good idea.

Rooting allows you to modify system files and mess around with your phone. You can customize it, backup your data and sometimes make your phone faster.

When you root your phone, an app called Superuser (sometimes SuperSU is used as well). What Superuser does is that it allows an access to the /system partition for an app that demands root access.

There are many apps on the Play Store that require root access.
- StickMount (USB OTG)
- Greenify (Preserves RAM)
- S Tweaks (For Samsung devices running Siyah Kernel)
- CWM Manager (Lets you do some stuff with CWM without booting into it)
- Triangle Away (Resets the binary flash counter for Samsung phones)
- Titanium Backup Pro (Backs up everything)

Hope, I've helped. :)

Yea bro thank you for the reply do to sum it up i can backup everything and if i switch to a new mobile i wouldnt have to download anything from the playstore. Titanium will just copy everything for me right. But does rooting mean my warrently will be void cos i still got 8 months of it left. And is there any chance of bricking the mobile during the root procedure..

Thanks again for a detailed reply bro appreciate it:)

Why you need stickmount, for me almost every OTG device works without any other app on Samsung devices (except printer for which I use print hand).

I'm using a HP printer over OTG using Print hand app (it doesn't require root)

Samsung devices are the easiest to root. Yes, rooting voids your warranty but you can always un-root it and reset the flash counter. There is very little chance of bricking happening when rooting, even if it does, there are ways to un-brick the phone.

Mostly background and performance improvements. My colleague's Nexus 4 went from 14,000 to 17,000 on the Antutu Benchmark after the 4.3 update.

There are quite a few really good under the hood changes

1. Support for Bluetooth Low Energy (Bluetooth 4.0)
2. Support for OpenGL ES 3.0 extensions. (This will mean a substantial graphical improvement in upcoming games as evidenced by the stunning Asphalt 8 shown during the Nexus 7 announcement)
3. Multi-user restricted profiles. (an example of usage is restricting in app purchasing in certain games on a kid's profile)
4. TRIM Support. (This is supposed to eliminate the inevitable slowness that all android phones experience over time which seems to vanish when you factory reset or wipe data)

These and other under the hood improvements have generally improved performance and battery life.

I don't think WP8 or IOS have TRIM support.

Android is the only one.
