You're right about that, I was just pointing out the fact that since my battery is a year old, he should be expecting slightly better charge times since I'm assuming he has a newer phone.

^ No i have a slightly used phone say around 7 months or so but its in a condition that if i want i can sell it as new ... i won't complain as its a gift

I downloaded the obb data files for GTA Vice City but when I extract 'em, they're just stuck on 100% and nothing further, no completion. What should I do?

Now I'm having this problem, I just tried to make a backup using CWM and then it failed because I already had insufficient space(2.5GB on SD card and 2.7GB on Phone memory). While on the CWM recovery, I deleted the unsuccessful backup now after rebooting, it shows that free phone memory is zero. I shifted some of my files to SD card now I have at least 0.94 GB left but still, I had more memory before! What to do?

Titanium backup is really good, but it can only be used AFTER the phone has been rooted and you need to make a backup before rooting so it wont work for you. BTW, Tintanium Backup even backs up your app data, for e.g the amount of coins you collected in a game, your apps, everything along with the things that would be backed up via Kies.

You won't lose any data when you root unless you wipe cache/factory/data reset the device.

It you'll be using ODIN, you'll be flashing a .tar file and none of your apps and data will be affected.

TITANIUM BACKUP is THE most awesome backup software IMO.

It features batch backup and restore, although for automatic restore WITHOUT having to get a prompt to install the app, use a cracked version.

In other words, root your device using ODIN, after rooting install TITANIUM BACKUP PRO (get the .apk from mobilism or someplace else). Backup your settings , apps etc afterwards.

If you want to backup before, I think STOCK RECOVERY gives you the option for nandroid backup(?).

Thanks alot to all. I am about to root my phone. I wanna confirm that its warranty will void after rooting. And when official update of jellybean 4.2.2 for GS3 launch' will i able upgrade my (rooted) phone? And what about warranry?
