HTC releases tool to unlock bootloaders on its devices

HTC has announced a tool to unlock the bootloaders on its devices, and that the company plans to make every future device it makes unlockable.

actually the official tool did exist from months, it now just supports a couple of more devices.

Yeah, digging deeper, it sure looks like it. Not sure why the article is worded the way it is, or the way HTC made the announcement. It's still the same old five step procedure via htcdev.com with support for more devices.

You know i loved the Evo 3D.... it's higher in specs and Features than sensation ..it had dedicated camera button and even cheaper than new sensation

i don't know for what reason it didn't get as much attention as Sensation did coz it will beat it easilY...

i feel like exchanging it for my Sensation... Let me know your experience....

I think you should try it out, if it doesn't prove stable enough for you then restore previous backup Normally all Android revolution ROMs are stable and fast.

Trying out CM9 from the last two days, even though its an alpha it still provides the smoothest UI than any other ROM out there, has a couple of major bugs mainly regarding the camera but can expect them to be solved around January.

Yeah i think i will try it out cause after using SGS2 i feel that XE is slow .

yeah i also installed one-cosmic rom on my SGS Vibrant and noticed quite a yellowish hue.Previously i was using ICS Passion v8 but sadly that was giving me some FC and restarting problems:looking:.On V8 there was an app called "galaxy s settings" in which you can change the colour saturation of the screen.
Also on onecosmic i dont have any MUSIC player

Strange problem I must say, downlaod the kernel supporting Voodoo color and adjust the screen colors through that! You might want to flash the ROM twice following the step by step guide on XDA. Should solve your problem regarding the music app as well!

Yaaaayyy!! Got the HTC Explorer today!!


btw i searched the whole Hafeez Center and was unable to find the Explorer in 16k, everyone was selling it arnd 19k-23k...!! But finally i got one for 17k! So far m loving it, great display, no lag, the 600 Mhz CPU is enough.


Btw i have some basic questions regarding Android 2.3 Gingerbread as this is my first Android smartphone.


1. Sometimes when I hit the back button while typing a msg, it says "Message saved in Drafts" but where exactly is the drafts folder??


2. I've configured all my e-mail accounts with it (Gmail, Yahoo and Hotmail), but it only displays recent msgs, no previous msgs are shown! Any way how to resolve this?

3. The FriendStream widget of HTC is only displaying updates from the pages I like, not any updates from my friends? Why is that so?

Hope anyone can answer my questions!

1. Use menu to go to Folders in messaging, there you will see drafts

2. You can go to Mail settings and choose Send/Receive dates.. It ranges from 3 days old to one month old to All previous messages..

3. You have to click on your friends name to open his wall.. Your wall messages will always be first page when you openf

Whenever i receive any msg the lights never turns on. I usually place the phone near my laptop while watching movies so that I can see the light when I receive a msg, but in this set i cant do like this, a little help please???
and
I cant move some of the apps to microSD card? The "move to SD" tab is greyed out!!

There is no lightup notification for sms alerts but it can be solved by installing an application called 'SmsAwake' in Market... It works well

Some applications can't be shifted to sd card... To enable all applications install to sd card you have to root your device...
