Hodgson insists he will not quit

Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson insists he will not quit the club despite his side's poor start to the season.

Rooney has already sat out matches against Valencia and Sunderland prior to the international break amid confusion over his injury.
It was Rooney's claim that he was not suffering from an ankle problem - which completely contradicted the words of his manager - following England's draw with Montenegro 10 days ago.
But after he made a brief appearance against West Brom on Saturday, a training ground tackle from Paul Scholes has put him on the sidelines.

lol yeah even i think they are pretty irritating... and to think the row they kicked up over the vuvuzelas ...... but portsmouth is a good club... they have a nice background... winning the f.a cup quite recently in fact...... sad to see a good club meet an end like that.... hope it turns up fine

Wayne Rooney might have agreed a new contract but he will still be out for three weeks with an ankle injury. (could be out for one whole month, will lack sharpness afterwards)

yes tdd hates redknapp .... when harry was at the club, the club was going fine .... they won the dang f.a cup knocking manu out on the way as well.... if u ask me, portsmouths current predicament is all backstage problems.... managers and players are not at fault here... but i agree about the spending part

I still dont get the Rooney saga. I just dont get it. What the heck happened here?

Im thinking, There's a great possibility that Rooney will STILL be sold next summer. My reasons for that are, If rooney actually beleived that the United squad is not good enough to win trophies and they havent got the financial strength then how come he changed his mind in 2 days? Im thinking probably Ferguson and David Gill might have talked to Rooney to sign a contract and maybe "MIGHT" have guaranteed to him that he will be sold in the summer or the near future. This way, its a win win for both the club and the player. Man United would end up receiving the FAIR value for Rooney since he'd have 4 years remaining on his contract and Rooney also gets to move. Could that be a possibility?

Second possibility is that, This was all a stunt by Ferguson to maybe take off the focus off wayne rooney's private life and to maybe make the Glazers cough up some money for more players or just sell the club. However i seriously doubt that because even Alex Ferguson is not that good an actor ! he was pretty emotional in the press conference. Plus i dont think Rooney would have ever agreed to this.. He has lost alot of fans because of his behavior in the last few weeks.

Anyway, Lets get back to football
