Alright lads, this is now the official thread to discuss your diet/fitness/bodybuilding related stuffs. Keep in mind that this thread should be free from following stuff.

1) Asking anyone to post pics of themselves. if they do it on their own,fine. otherwise u cant ask them.
2) keep it free from bro science. If u just have started working out, its better to take advice from someone instead of going on and telling others what u heard from someone.
3) keep it free from negative criticism, if u think ur good, u cant go on thinking less of anyone else. at one point u were like that too..

anyone is allowed to ask/reply to questions keeping in mind the above rules.

Does the volume/rep-range of a workout have to be different depending on a person's body-type? i.e ectomorph etc

As now i am over weight by 10 or 20 KG. Atleast
My height is over 6 ft. But my weight is also 108 kgs.
I don't perform any physical activities whatsoever. Considering the fact that i have Ab king pro and Electric Motorized Treadmill mechine at home. :crying:

Just stop eating biscuits, chocolates, pizza and roti. Eat plain lean meat. Only eat bran bread as bread but no roti or milk bread. Get involved into physical activities like using your treadmill. Also, after dinner, try to go for a walk.

I am actually vegetarian apart from eating chicken. I don't eat beef or mutton at all.
But i cannot seem to find the inspiration nor the time to do cardio to lose my weight.

I got overweight, exceeded 200 pounds, but for last 1-2 months I have been doing jogging/walk/running/Push ups daily with strict schedule and at least 5-6 days a week.

Now I actually feel like I am losing weight, But now I feel like there should be some more technique which can accelerate the process.

Secondly what's good technique of increasing jogging stamina, My feet usually give up after about 600 meter, than I walk for some time and than jogging again until my feet hurts.

Specially adopting to problem of painful Instep has been a failure so far. I tried everything from loosening the laces to altering the lacing techniques. Any Tips ?

well try some core exercise as well and pull ups it will increase your stamina and some stamina boost drink can do also but more over heel and arch exercise to make there plate solid which help you to carry on your weight in long run .
energy drinks arent recommended. they contain so much sugar he'll end up gaining weight instead of losing it.

if u really feel weak, have a nice cup of black coffee. ofcourse with the weather in pakistan,its not recommended. u can also take some good carbs before working out.

Does the volume/rep-range of a workout have to be different depending on a person's body-type? i.e ectomorph etc
what workout u do currently with what sets of reps ? for me i usually give supersets to core exercises..

But i cannot seem to find the inspiration nor the time to do cardio to lose my weight.
that is why u fail.

ab king pro wont do a damn thing if u got a 40" waist. i can swear it on my life trust me.. its the most retarded machine ever made

4-5 sets on all compounds, 8 reps.

no no man. u gotta increase the reps. even for some of my super sets i go as high as 30 reps(mostly for hamstring curls, cable curls,leg press etc). according to arnold, your muscle volume increases because of those last reps that gives u the most pain.

are u doing legs? what exercises do u do for legs?

hmmm as mostly in office i go for tea without milk . well i have question about diet as mostly use to eat rice (one medium plate) in my meal instead of roti/bread , so it is better to continue with rice or should i add roti/bread in my meal .

I do high reps for isolation movements, upto 15 though. For bench press, military etc I do 8 reps. Yes, I've been doing legs ever since. 5 sets of squats, 8-10 reps followed by leg curls and leg press, although ive dropped leg press recently because the heavy squatting as it is would destroy my legs.

Weight of course lol, I choose a weight with which I can't do more than 8.

u make me laugh... try doing squats with 180Kgs sometimes, one slight out of the way movement and your knee caps will come off. try doing just 3 reps with 180-200kgs. just do a quarter movement dont go all the way down.. or just try balancing 200kgs on your shoulder. that would be an achievement too..

u make me laugh... try doing squats with 180Kgs sometimes, one slight out of the way movement and your knee caps will come off. try doing just 3 reps with 180-200kgs. just do a quarter movement dont go all the way down.. or just try balancing 200kgs on your shoulder. that would be an achievement too..

Need some advice about working out in morning .. I'm switching to morning workouts because need time in evening for studies ....
Should I eat something before going to gym ?
how much should I wait after eating and hitting the weights ?I usually give an hour break after lunch..
pros and cons of workout in overnight fast state ?
my 2nd day working out in morning I felt really worn out during workout and had real discomfort in the stomach and found hard to complete my breakfast !

anyone is welcome to respond regardless of some rules mentioned earlier

thanks for those words. its nice of u. i personally dont think of myself as a pro. i just studied alot and alot during my transformation. i still do.

regarding your question, u can goto gym in the morning. its actually very good if u can manage. considering your location is karachi, u can have a bowl of "Quacker Oats" one hour before u hit the gym. actually working out in the morning has many advantages. your metabolism system after working out in the morning is much faster for the whole day, it will help digestion of food much properly during the day. your harmones and other minerals are also at max after a nights rest.

the problem with me is that my sleeping timings arent fixed. so it gets very difficult for me to work out in the morning, but if u can manage that, its very good.

u wait atleast an hour after eating before doing any sort of exercise. and im guessing u felt worn out coz u mustve gone totally on an empty stomach, u can try having any kind of carbs before u workout in the morning. hope it helps.
