First of all, I must say this thread that you have started, is pretty help full for both weight gainers and for those who wanna loose weight, So many greetings for that, I know how much effort and time it takes to write up all that, Hats Off for all that ..
Now let's stop the glittering and get straight to the business :)
Please Recommend me, And the other folks like me who are trying to gain weight, Some good Protein Powders and Also if you know where they are available in Karachi ..

Dude I have no idea how to gain weight :p
I eat a lot, and sit lazily at my home the whole day, still can't gain weight xD
Anyways, the advice 'I' can give is, eat fatty stuff, like desi ghee, parathas, butter etc. These things combined with specific good foods can be delicious and healthy (fyi, not that health :p)

this... is... wrong.. like i said earlier, please donot give bad advices if you dont know. if you have no idea it would be better to read first.
[MENTION=39982]newb1e[/MENTION]. start eating healthy. start exercising. whats your height/weight? stay away from garbage food. garbage food works totally opposite for ectomorph and endomorph body types. for ectomorph(like yourself) you will lose weight if you eat garbage food. and for endomorph(me) it will increase my body fat.

the reason being that the metabolism for endomorph works very fast, so whatever you eat, your body will digest it very fast. for ectomorph, like me, the metabolism is slow. so if i eat garbage food, it will end up as a fat layer in my body.

so,having said that, include green vegies in your diet, stay away from soda/fries/parathas/fried things etc. include eggs,chicken,fish,fruits,vegies,oats in your diet. these are all good natural sources of protein..

i dunno if you workout or not, but if you dont,i wouldnt recommend taking protein supplements yet coz your diet isnt in check. it will be just a straight away waste of your money to take protein and not fix your diet first.

nice thread dude.. i need to lose alot of weight, but dont know how to do it.. people tell me joining a gym would do nothing for me what should i do?

That's not the point, my Dad tried it.......it worked in a month....sadly he can't drop his weight now

To be exact, he was in his uni and was skinny (baqol my granma :p) so she sent him some desi ghee (from a famous place I don't remember the name), like a lot of it, he always used it for himself for a month and then.......boom

theres a lot of difference between increasing muscle mass and increasing fat.. you dont wanna increase your fat, you wanna get some muscles mass.

Dear I am doing bodybuilding for three months with a strict diet plan and getting good results.
However most of my protein needs from meat consist of beef and mutton as I used to think that chicken in Pakistan is not of good standards and the medications they give to broiler may be harmful for us.But recently I talked to my doctor and he said eating too much beef is not good for health as well.




So my question is that if I start taking broiler chicken would it constitute of sufficient proteins or not? And should I rely on chicken as a protein source keeping in view the chicken we get here.

u can always use protein supplements. go back a couple of pages ull find some posts related to protein powders.. the amount of protein totally depends on your workout and what u aim to become.. so what exactly is your aim ?

is it okay to join gym in summer? if yes then in early morning or evening after 8pm?

yes ofcourse it is, and timing doesnt matter, whatever is feasible to u

Bro my aim is to be a fitness model. I was using ON Whey previously but got my LFT(liver functional test) and the report wasn't positive.Consulted the doctor and he asked to stop taking protein powder.Now I am really confused should I start it again or leave the protein powder.

MEAL 1:
4 egg whites
Protein shake
250gm Yogurt
2 Weetabix


MEAL2:

200gm beef mince
2 glasses Lassi


MEAL3:
Green vegetables with chicken and cottage cheese

MEAL4:

Fruit Chaat with Dry Fruits


Pre-Workout:
2 boiled potatos and a cup of black coffee


Post Workout:
Protein Shake in water


Meal6:
250gm beef steak
4 egg whites
250gm Red Beans


Before bed:
2 glass milk blended with cottage cheese (@Joker bro this is my diet plan)

your diet plan seems okayish. may i ask how long uve been following this ? and whats your current stats ? height/weight/waist/bf% ? and also your workout routine.

also, from my understanding, if your LFT results came bad, it means your liver doesnt accept cholesterol and anything that has any kinda fat it in(thats only my understanding, im not sure) i did the same test 4-5years ago when i got hepatitis A.
