I would've agreed with you had it not been the spectacular Season 7. Season 5 and 6 were horrible coming off from Season 4. But this show definitely has its moments and the way the writers were able to create a Season 7 after two lackluster seasons shows that there is a potential for a great Season Finale here unlike *cough* Lost *cough

Awesome OT by CT :p

I hope they make the finale really good, The show basically peaked during Season 2 and it's never been that good again. I hope they go out with a bang.(y)

Season 2 =/

Season 4 is more like it. Season 2 was great(More so due to the lovely Jaime Murray) but Season 4 was the peak. The ending was a perfect conclusion to the saga and i really hated how they started Season 5. By Season 6, i was beginning to think that Dexter should just end now but Season 7 proved me wrong.

I would say that

Season 1 = Season 4 -> Best ones
Season 2 = Season 7
Season 3 > crap > Season 6 > Season 5

No Dexter season can match the intensity of Season 2, it kept me at the edge of my seat the whole time. The way I see it is:

Season 2 >>> Season 1 and Season 4 >> Season 7 >> Season 3 >> Season 5 >> Season 6
