I don't think it would put an end to your hate train towards everything CDPR but let's see ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Similarly, it doesn't look like someone's Cyberpunk love train is close to ending anytime soon. In fact, it's taking him on a rather fascinating trip, don't you think?

Would you happen to be an insider? Seems like you had an idea it won't be playable for the press this year either :hah:

News of a 2nd developer controlled behind-closed-doors E3 demo began to surface today.

Wait, so you aren't disappointed that the media won't have hands-on impressions from this year's E3 as well? :p
What I wanna know is why you are singling out CDRP's decision to do behind-closed-doors and hands-off demos?

Do I really have to explain why this happening 2 years in a row doesn't sound like a great thing to me? lol

Except Lost Legacy was playable for the press around the same period. If the press gets a hands-on demo for Cyberpunk soon after E3 or at Gamescom, then it's all cool.

The first gameplay demo for TLoU II was shown last year, and it was hands-off. It's highly likely that the next time they let the press near the game, they'll get some hands-on time with it. If they don't, I'll be there to express my disappointment.

No (because you have to have a problem with everything CDPR anyway :p), but why are you insisting on others to feel the same way? lol

The game was showed in a playable state live. It will probably be demo'ed live this year too. Not sure whats so alarming about that. Not like NaughtyDog who prepares the same movie files for both public and private demos. Whether they show a playable demo this year doesn't excuse the hype they're building on a game which isn't even playable by their own representatives.

It was hands-off even for the developers themselves

I was asking for your opinion on the matter (whether you're cool, indifferent, or disappointed with the lack of media hands-on for this year's E3), not insisting that you feel the same way as I do lol.

Movie file or not, Naughty Dog lets the media play their games past the initial gameplay reveal. That's the differentiating factor here. Behind closed doors isn't the point here, it's when the media gets hands-on with the game.

Since you're analyzing it to this degree, when was Red Dead 2 and God of War made playable to the media after their reveal?

The differentiating factor, for me, is that C2077's first gameplay reveal was played live, twice, and was 48 mins long. Not a video playback for proof of concept.

Highly anticipated game for me. I hope it has as good story and side quests as Witcher. For me witcher 3 is the best action rpg open world game ever. Game of the generation. Witcher 3 side content is better than some games main story.

A month prior to their release. There was a lot of concern surrounding GoW, given that no one had played it and the studio itself was doubtful it would come together.

Unlike the re-envisioned GoW, RDR2 was a direct sequel/prequel and, hence, a known quantity, just like TLoU II. These games didn't need a hands-on as much as GoW or Cyberpunk did.

Kotaku: As Cyberpunk 2077 Development Intensifies, CD Projekt Red Pledges To Be 'More Humane' To Its Workers

The developer best known for The Witcher series has cultivated a reputation for crunch—asking its employees to work nights and weekends for weeks or months at a time—but studio management now tells Kotaku they want to improve their work-life balance, even if they continue to feel that crunch is a necessity.

“We’re known—let me be humble for a moment here—we are known for treating gamers with respect,” said Marcin Iwiński, the company’s co-founder, in an interview with Kotaku this week. “This is what we’ve been working hard toward. And I actually would [like] for us to also be known for treating developers with respect.”

One of the ways the company plans to do that, Iwiński said, is through a “non-obligatory crunch policy” that isn’t brand new but that the Warsaw-based CD Projekt Red plans to push harder. He wants to make it clear to Cyberpunk 2077’s developers that even when the studio asks them to work on nights and weekends, it’s not “mandatory.”

Did y'all see the new Assassin's Creed trailer? They finally made a AC set in Japan & then they put a negro as the male protagonist. Ubisoft is taking cues from Disney, and it isn't gonna end well for them, just like Disney. Go woke, go broke!
