They don' open up boxes? When I got home and started unpacking, I noticed that it had been opened before and was closed again with scotch tape. How about that?
And yeah they did replace them. That doesn't change the fact that they are selling repaired stuff.
yes it indeed proves that they are selling defected stuff - but above statement also proves your negligence if it had the scotch tape you should have inquired about it at the spot. being in hurry isn't a justification. but still your point stands they shouldn't be selling repaired stuff.

Since they replaced it I think that pretty much closes the case. And they DONT open it, trust me, I know. They must have gotten a piece that was already opened.

as they were A4Tech you would have been applying elfy yourself after a couple of weeks anyway :p
LOL

But think of it this way.
He was already getting a defected piece, so it kills the chance to apply elfy for another time :p [/pun]

ok i got it what happened

first your mistake you didn't check at the spot, second a4tech makes the most pathetic headsets ever believe me or not your choice.

i purchased an a4tech headphones the one with the brayans face :) and as i bought it home my younger bro (who has a big head) wore it and broke it, its one speaker fell off, ok i already have checked it so i couldn't go to the shop and claim it. now after just 20 days of my use (i extensively use headphones) the other speaker also fell to the superior make of a4tech. the shopkeeper was my waqif so i decided to take a chance with it i went to him and told the story he said ok let me try if the company claims it. to me headset was already dead so i gave it to him. after 6 months i went to his shop for something else and he told me that they have repaired and sent back your headphones. i did not remember at that time but was happy ok a spare set will do no harm. now to the point as soon as i took it out it was in the same shape as yours elfy with a screw. i laughed and said yaar i dont even think that they have sent it to a4tech. i wore it on the shop and it broke againg there and then. i threw it in his bin and said no worries bro atleast you have tried.

in your scenario what have happened they might have given you faulty a4tech that already have came in warranty (intentionally or unintentionally God knows) remember these sick headsets always broke from the joint of the speakers.

sick of the A4tech products. talked wid Qaiser Bank Road ages ago for bringing more brands .... but seems ppl do like these shitty products, ah ... refurbished (what a joke?) ... when ppl can spend more money on Cooler Master products or expensive GPU's it's better to bring in good stuff in headphones. e.g TDK, Sennheiser, Plantronic, AKG or even Creative ones.

I'm using my TDK Mp100 headphones for the past 3 years and they are tough ... excellent design and quality end product i must say.

A4Tech makes products that are MUCH more affordable than the competition. Their 5.1 Headphones cost 1800. Razer's 5.1 cost around 12k lol

Sure if you want to spend that much on headphones, you might. Me on the other hand... Na.

And for those suggesting that the people over at A4tech opened the package, put a screw in and then sealed it with scotch tape before dispatching - are idiots.

Didnt know that, Ill drop by sometime if he's back. Been a while since I went there last time.

Yeah I think he's Haji Sahab's son. Ive never dealt with anyone else other than Umar there so Im not exactly sure.

Yes A4Tech is crap. Ive had the 'distinct pleasure' (sarcasm) of using their mice and headphones, they break easily and its clear the material used is of the lowest quality. Id rather pay 2000 more for Razer or Logitech.

hum sab sastay may mazay laina chahtay hain regarding a4tech mai ne ek bar he tajriba ker liya tha its better to spend 12000 on a headphone (thou i am not saying you do it to) and use it for 2 or 3 year rather buy an 1800 wala headphone and change it after every 3 months(and in my case it didnt last even 3 months). any way if people are satisfied with a4tech what can i say. but my brother there are better cheap options like creative etc etc (thou to me creative is also a shit i have used ones with the noise reduction feature and they to after 7 months were damaged the same way. then i got sony and got sukoon of life.)

They replaced the headphones.

I think they should be given the benefit of doubt here. However, I'd advise buyers to be careful not just in that particular shop, but everywhere.

Good that they replaced.

I have dealt with them several times without any problem. I recently got a laptop battery from them, through a friend, he brought it to me two weeks later when he came home since I don't live in ISB/Rawalpindi, I open the box and it wasn't the battery model I asked for. I called and inquired for the person whom I talked to but he wasn't available for a week or so - on leave, after that when he returned, the battery was replaced with the proper model, 3 weeks after the purchase, I doubt another shop would have done it smoothly for me.

i personally has experience of 8~9 years with Media In, ISB.

i do not have any complain regarding their service, yes, they are not a manufacturer or even importer of any PC item, therefore they are bound to policies and warranty conditions of Galaxy, Shingtech. etc......, and we all know that Shingtech has worst warranty backup in Pakistan, then comes MSI importers,

therefore, sometimes a customer might not satisfied with MI due to background behavior of Shingtech or others
otherwise Media International then PC House are best shops in Islamabad regarding customer satisfaction, i am dealing with both since 2001
