Final bosses need to be big and awesome and hard to kill, and the battles need to last for more than 5 mins.That don't happen these days.
BTW RE 4 had a very disappointing final boos, After the fight against Salazar and that Army guy, really expected Saddler to be something.

The games based on that genre are called WRPGs & JRPGs & yes the plot in those games is mostly fantasy based.
& You can't label GTA 4 a racin' game, just because it has racing elements! or an RPG just because Niko is on a role in that game.

Roleplay genre is not even exclusive to fiction, but to artists as well. It means you take on a defined, well-rounded role yourself and create a character in YOUR reflection. When you make an entire story, or an art around that writing or fictional concept, it takes the form of a roleplay genre.
