I think it's fairly obvious that the definition of the term role play is different across the mediums, or is taken differently by the general masses, but since we see you post less about actual games and more about whining over irrelevant things, I guess it's not hard to fathom you're not too familiar with what "gamers" consider "role playing games" to be.
And you obviously are ignoring a basic fact and pointlessly whining as usual, that every writing goes through the sames writing rules that apply in a short story, novella, or even a novel. And considering the fact that you are completely ignoring the fact that games stories are written by abiding to the SAME rules, and the SAME genres. And I wonder why SH3 was not put in the best Survival horror awards...Oh wait; I have never seen the category.
It also won Famitsu's game of the year for your kind information
you know .. cause it was a great game and all.
I should totally listen to a random dude on the internet, when I speak out about my likes and dislikes.
RE4 in a nut-shell
- Same controlls
- Added tackles
- Half baked laser sight, which defies the natural working of the laser
- 900+ enemies in total, that I can beat with my toes, snoring in my sleep in pro mode...there goes the challange factor.
- THE worst dialogues I had - at that time - seen in any game. Period.
- You cannot move while you shoot.
- Unneeded second appearences.
- Easy enemies.
- Annoying over-the-shoulder view, which actually greatly restricts your field of vision when you truly aim. What a huge PLUS!
- Repetitive as hell.
- The only enemies you ever face are basically the same, with different clothing etc. Aside of the dogs, and bugs, which appear sparingly.
- Lame, unbalanced bosses, which hardly require any effort at all.
- You basically do not even need to conserve anything, as enemies will crap out bullets for you.
- Enough weaponery to level a whole freaking city. Another down point for the non-existant challange factor.
- Genre shift. Another down point.
- The most stupid story in the history of RE games; only topped by the abysmal RE5.
- The only saving grace of this game is modes, costumes, and two Ada's scanerio you unlock. And a mercenery mode, if you are interested.
...Wow, like, what a DIFFERENT, totally unique game.

@ chandoo You know Chandoo, I have read your awe-amazing reviews. Your broken english is hardly worthy of backing up this ludicurous show of troll-fest over an opinionated view. Maybe you should invest this energy in ACTUALLY researching about creative writing, and how it applies to every fucking field of writing to EVER grace this earth. And maybe in the process of doing so, you might also improve your own.
You just made me laugh REALLY hard.
@ Please, I don't owe you any explanations. As this point was actually about a personal prefernce. And no, only two year old kids who don't have their own money to spend, and cry about buying games in front of mommy and daddy look at reviews.
