The Case study paper policy will change from july 2014. From the july 2014 attempt, there is no restriction to attempt the Case study module of ICAEW in the last year of your training contract. You can attempt it anytime even if you don't have a training contract. Its part of the changes implemented by the ICAEW to their ACA qualification in July 2013.
Well im not sure if you can do that. If youve read this thread, we've discussed ALOT of times how reciprocal exemptions are not allowed. Which mean you cant claim exemptions in ICAP if you've done ICAEW through claiming exemptions in it via ACCA. But theres no hard fact that someones request actually got accepted or rejected by ICAP till today.
And id advice you NOT to aim on being just a 'finalist'. Nowadays, there are alot of qualified professionals looking for jobs and every relevant job demands a qualified accountant. So whereever you apply as a Finalist, there will be a Fully qualified applicant who will have the edge of a qualification over you. So keep your priority to BE QUALIFIED.
well obviously if i'll apply for exemptions then i'll pass as well,y wud i linger CA for just 2papers
but is it really true that they care if some1 did ICAEW via exemptions or without that because nothing like that is mentioned on their site, where they straight forwardly stated that if u have 2yr experience along with ICAEW then u qualify for ICAP exemption leaving only 2 papers
has any1 ever claimed this exemption?my friend was also going to go through this route who suggested this to me,if i cant get ICAP exemption then i dont think there's any future or use of ICAEW in PAKISTAN,is it?
i mean like if some1 is applying for job n has ACCA alone n other one has ACCA + ICAEW then wouldnt they prefer the later one?
i dont like audit n wont give P7 for nothing otherwise i'll go for P4 instead
also i dont have any other qualification in my mind to go for after ACCA but acca alone wont survive in this market
