well im applying for the license tomorrow morning and u have to specify which guns license u want to apply for...so i have untill sunrise to decide.

i am thinking pistols but my uncle said that they are not as strong as big ones..[offcourse] but my mind is still on getting a pistol sugest me which one is a strong out of the pistols and why

have been using it for over a year now 9mm and long range ...cons -> no safety..and only american bullets are recommended

or if on a tight budget buy a 9mm DAkkal somthing i think...my bro in law has it he is currently using it as his side arm south waziristan and says that till nnow he has fired over 300 rounds of the 9mm bullets of Wah factory no jams no nnothing

a local TT will hardly be bought for 8-10 thousand rupees but if you want quality TT my uncle owns one made in Russia cost around 30 thousand

2) There are China made guns as well they are cheap but model are superb can be range around 30 -40 thousand

The procedure for applying for a firearms license is complicated or simple at the same time. It's complicated if you try to get one yourself and it's easy if you apply through a reailble dealer. Here's the official procedure however to save you uncessary headache, we strongly suggest going through any dealer you trust.

You need:

• a). A copy of your CNIC
• b). Two recent Passport size photographs
• c). Certificate of Profession/Service (Letter from your employer)
• d). Application forms properly filled out with a copy of it

Eligible Categories.

1. Income Tax, Agriculture Tax payers.
2. Officers of Armed Forces/Civil Officers of BPS-I? and above.
3. Foreign Diplomats (on the recommendations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs).
4. Registered Security Companies.
5. Professionals including Doctors, Engineers and Lawyers.
6. Any other Organization/group/individual with the approval of Minister for Interior.

Issuance on Inheritance Basis.

On demise of a licensee, his legal heirs can nominate one of the family members to inherit the weapon. For which the death certificate of licensee and an affidavit from the family members nominating him for the issuance of license on inheritance basis is required.

There are currently 3 Categories of Non Prohibited Bore (NPB) weapons:

1. Shotgun.12/.14/.16 bore including pump action non automatic.
2. Revolvers/pistols All bores.
3. Rifles.22 bore non automatic

COudnt agree more.....dude cab u pm me the exact details of the inheritence thingy ...my father passed away in 2008 and hav got the succession certificate....he had a revolver n shotgun under his name what do i do to get it transferred to my name

IMO, a 9mm is all you need for a person defense. But one should be 3 times more sensible than a common man to carry one for personal defense.

This. If you don't know how to wield a gun and use it on time before the robber shoots you, you're dead and your gun will go to some other robber.

there is no legal ak-47 , assault rifles are banned items , u go straight to jail if u get caught with one ...pure n simple ..

there are legal ak47s....for russian made u need to get a licence first for prohibited bore and then hav some guy basically GIFT it to you but he need to belong to the tribal belt/armed forces...
u can buy the chinese or wah factory models from authorised dealers like there is one in pindi and two in lhr that i know off...i got both of mine from Bajur agency and got them licensed in my name one in 2009 and one about a month back.
