The going multiplat news had been around for a while no? But Activision as a publisher is the real shocker here, specially after their recent issues.

It most certainly is....But the agreement of Bungie keeping rights to their own IP is the only good thing i see out of all this.

Plus the fact that Activision is the largest Video games Publisher in the world right now, may be that shows that what Bungie might have next in line might be something really good (or they atleast expect it to be) thats why they opted to contact a company like Activision to gain better exposure...

?

The catch: Jason Jones and a handful of other Bungie employees have been working on this game for 6 years now.....So thats saying something. Can't wait to see what it is....

Bungie’s new ten-year deal to have its new IP published by Activision seems to be a good enough reason to replace Infinity Ward, according to one analyst.
In fact, Sterne Agee analyst Arvind Bhatia seems to think the house that built Halo would be a “very good fit” as a potential replacement as developer of any future Modern Warfare titles.
“We feel that, if needed, Bungie would be a very good potential fit to replace Infinity Ward on development of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare franchise in the future,” he said.
But despite that, Bhatia reckons there’d be a “low probability” of this happening anytime in the near future.
Already, Bungie’s Joe Staten has said it needed to get the announcement of the deal out there to “break through” the “noise” of what’s happened recently at IW.

'cept a whole fucking crew is working on GT5 for 5 years :lol: whereas Jason has been working with a handful of Bungie's heads since right after Halo 2 while the rest of Bungie were focusing on Halo 3, ODST and now Reach.
