Best place to buy a Jap Car?

I've a 660c JDM ALTO 2004 Model , we got it from our relative show room, the car was accidented when it came from japan , the front was complete wrecked though engine was safe and we got the car in 4lac, it has been more then 5 years and car is running smooth , no issues at all and i am still getting 4.5 lack+ offers for this car.
The only thing i don't get is that why my alto gives me 10km/l where i've seen people saying that there alto gives more then 18km/l ...

Yep, JDM.
Locally registered to a guy who imported himself. Never used on CNG, 80k driven.

The guy said that engine needs work, he's swapping in a new engine so I've told him I'll visit again once it's ready.

The interior and everything is in phenomenal condition, even the engine bay was great. Car was in original paint and there were some touchups. The interior was just like new.
He's asking 4.8 lacs with the swapped engine. I will go there on Thursday when the swap would be complete hopefully.

Ok it's nearby my office as i'm in Phase 5 also make it in middle of the day like 1-3pm so we can check it thoroughly in daylight.

but first let me ask around if its safe going for it in 4.8lacs

Just discussed this with my cousin who is a professional. He laughed it off at the price as the same car is being sold at 4.5lac in market and has no resale value because of problems with CNG. He said original parts of this car aren't easy to find and expensive that is why he is swapping the engine which further devalues the selling price of the car and it has too many complains with its gearbox too which is another mess to handle that is why people opt for locally built alto and these cars are cheaper than the local ones even if they are not in good condition compared to JDM mirror-likes.

He was comfortable at the 4.5lac point too.
And it gets my job done, so am really inclined towards it.

Will he also get the new engine number on the book too? offer him 375-380k and see what he says, i don't think for a family gadha gari type car (which needs to run a lot) it would be a bad buy for around 400k ... in 450k you can get better cars

please what ever you do don't expect out of this world mileage from these small 660cc cars, people tend to think that because of smaller engine displacement it would be economical but they forget the power to weight ratio, 660cc will require more effort to drag a 500kg body with passenger (a random figure) than a 1000cc, that would mean 660cc will require more power and thus will consume more fuel than 1000cc given the same circumstances, yes if you plan to keep a feather light foot on accelerator than you might see a difference especially on long routes.
