Hey man , Could anyone hElp me to find the perfect DSL . I hav surfed almost all of the post but could not able to find dsl i wanted i.e having a download speed of say 100 to 150 kbps . I am instrested on buying a 1200 pakage that would be a 512 kbps . What would be download speeds . The speed test r all fake result . My speed test give my downloading speed of 150 kbps but actually my downloading is 30 kbps . .

Plz give ur opinion about dsl only if u r using it . . and also tell me the actual downloading speed
, also the speed of online games . I usually play CS . So wht r latency of cs over that dsl

Get yourself either PTCL 512K simple package or Student package, PTCL is the best dsl in pakistan,
if you go for 512K, you will pretty straight get a download speed of 64KB!

If you're into online gaming then get PTCL. If you're in in Isl/RP then get Micronet.

Micronet is not available in karachi . In what dsl i would be able to get a 100 kbps download speed minimum cause most of the time i am downloading movies .

And it is possible to divide my one connection into two of my computer . ..

Yes, one connection on more than one PC is possible. You just need a hub/switch.
Get PTCL 1MB connection (2000rs/month) for speeds upto 110kilobytes

Actually it depends on following things:-
1. In which city you are?
2. At which time of the month you applied?
3. Do you have some upper hands? (safarish) or not

In my city broadband is not so popular but still i got it after one month.
Considering its PTCL, their customer services center makes you mad a lots of time , so dont matter on it

yar i would say go with linkdotnet.i am not saying ptcl bcoz they have the worst customer service.if u have some high approach in ptcl then go for ptcl.if not then stay with some private company

Maxcom has the cheapest rates at the moment. They r offering 1 MBPS for 1800 rs whereas all others r offering 1 MBPS for 2000 rs. BTW Maxcom has the best customer service and i get around 108kbps download speed and 40 kbps upload speed.

I dont know about it being cheapest, but i 100% agree that Maxcom has EXCELLENT customer service and support!


most of the times you dont even have speak to an agent to get the problem solved. the automated cumputer voice support will sometimes solve the problem. I have almost always had my problems solved in minimum same to next day or maximum second day.

ya i applied for dsl on ma first no on which i had used maxcom a year before...two days after i got a call tht my line is linked up wid maxcom n they eed to giv a termination letter..thn for past week i have been calling em up n maxcom not Abuses will lead to ban replying.........so i changed my dsl to the second phone on which they installed it in two days..i now have LDN,,,,,,,

My line has lots of problems and frequently because i am on a bad exchange but maxcom team is very proactive and fixes any problem with in 12-48 hours.

you only face that complication in documentation if you are shifting from PTCL DSL to another or even if shifting from one DSL to another.

i activated maxcom on another line so id onthave those problems
