Here's a little tutorial
KILLING TANKS in Battlefield 3 ~
1) DON'T get too close. Rockets will explode in your face if you get too close to tanks.
2) Try and hit the backside or either side of the tank, that yields more damage. The front has least damage.
3) Don't be a hero and engage a tank in an open field. ALWAYS have some cover to help you when engaging tanks
4) Steady your aim to counter the bullet-drop.
5) Rocket takes time to re-load, so be very quick after you shoot a rocket. shoot, hide, re-load, get back out there and shoot again. REPEAT process until tank dies.
6) If you're a gunner in tank and see an enemy tank coming about, DONT SIT as gunner, get out load the RPG annd KABOOM
7) Hitting a moving tank is useless unless you have more soldiers with you to complete the kill.
8 - Hitting a moving is useful only if/when you're trolling
9) You have a limited supply of rockets. Choose your targets carefully.
10) Remember to repair your own tank, teammates tank after they get hit! Remember to drop enough ammo supplies around any map for your teammates.
Keep calm and shoot them in the head.

I got my repair tool kill
Caspian Border, I called him up to the river to get a repair torch kill.
Yup Yup.
Secondly.. It will be good to have a decent pilot in Rape Island and Gulf of Oman. You're gonna love the Heli action in that map.
Third.. Unlock the MG 36 for some good TDM fun. Awesome gun! Accurate, powerful and sexy!

I got someone to get me to kill them with a repair tool too!! Unfortunately the game disconnected and I lost the assignment.. I then did it the hard way ... on a sniper camping up on the rocks XD
I've come up with a gorilla objective every time I play any airmap in Conquest.
Stealing Enemy's Mobile AA
It takes a lot of ninja work, dodging bullets and hiding but the end result is well worth the hassle.
With two AA's your team is literally unstoppable.
No jet, heli, tank, jeep or even infantry can escape the rapid fire of two AA's together.
Though I've only done it a handful of times, but its so much fun when it works out right.
Enemies go crazy just trying to get the AAs while your tanks, jets, helis and infantry spit fire

Most of the times either the enemy rides it to death, rendering it useless or I'm too far off to repair in time and jack it.
Its very easy in Kharg Island
Did that twice last night and once in Operation Firestorm.
The Russian AA is a slug compared to the sleek and swift US mobile AA.

Javelin's pretty good if you're playing it smart. Two shots to take out a tank that's at 100%, because the javelin is hitting the top of the tank (always lock and then fire into the sky).
Also, if you have a RPG, try to fire at a 90 degree angle into the side for a 2 RPG disable. If you fire from a 90 degree angle into the back, it's a one shot disable, two shot kill scene.
