Yep, I have you on my list. Joined several conquest matches but kept getting disconnected. Operation Metro was really tight this time around.

Metro has too many bottlenecks. Not good for Conquest IMO.

Yeah, I meant to use the word 'tight' literally.
The subway area specifically was absolute Chaos. I remember someone's rocket took out 4 guys including myself. A lesser 48 players would be more suitable. However, the map is much more enjoyable since the beta. I played it quite a few times.
Whenever I get into a Jet, I don't get a single thing and get taken out. Apaches are a similar story, I either end up bailing and crashing it into a building or get locked on every two seconds. Tanks have done me alot of good in this game though.

But JE, I'm sorry but I completely disagree with your take on MP. perhaps you've spent a lot more time with Halo which has a very limited number of people per team and that's why you feel BF3 is chaotic but all of my conquest large games have been phenomenal and really tight. Work in Squads and focus on one objective at a time, that's what I had been doing and only when my team had capture 2-3 points only then I leave the point I captured for total domination. Else twice I've witnessed that the point I held on to with my squad actually became our fallback point.

What you're describing seems like you didn't give more than 1-2 rounds to MP. Figure out the maps, the spawns and whether you want to spawn on your squad leader or not.
My only complaint is that some of the conquest large maps are designed in a manner suitable for conquest large. Why? Too many alleyways and rooms and bottlenecks and complete lack of aerial support. This is battlefield dude, do NOT expect discipline here

dude i have spend more than 150 hours playing BC2...i m at rank 10 in BF3.that should be enough time to understand what kind of gameplay to expect.i m not saying BF3 is broken,i m just saying that its filled with srsly clueless people.those who knw shit abt tanks drive tanks,those who knw shit abt jets fly jets.i don't knw hw u got to be lucky to be part of a squad that actually had common objective but abt 90% time i have been part of squad full of idiots.as soon as the game starts,everybody rushes to the vehicles.nobody rushes to the capture points.the whole squad just goes in random directions.things are very different in BC2.people there play much better.maybe rite knw BF3 is saturated with newbies and kids and the real players still haven't shifted to BF3.
oh and lets not even start at the technical hiccups.random disconnects,admin kicks,unusually shitty pings,game crashes and what not plague the game.its like we are still in the BETA phase.if u don't believe me then check BF3 support thread in w00ts store and EA forums.its gona take several patches before it comes into the stable area.

that said it will be unfair not to say that i m having a blast with the game.its frustrating mostly but when u do find a gud team,everything works like clockwork and u have no trouble dominating the other team.there have been some srsly EPIC moments that i can only imagine in this game.btw i top the leaderboard when it comes to kill streak.16 kills baby.that streak contains necro and kingsface as far as i knw .dont ever come close to me if i m in a tank.

I've playing Battlefield 3 on Xbox 360 for second day now. Need more time to post multiplayer impression. Didn't really touch the campaign. So far,
+ Superb maps. Despite being way smaller than PC counterparts, they are incredibly fun to fight in.
+ I always believe that Call of Duty nails the shooting mechanic. Now BF3 does it too.
+ Obvious Mirror's Edge mechanics in use, like sliding are really fun.
+ More video games should integrate the Server Browser instead of a stupid Quick Match only option.
- Battlefield 3 is pretty but its not a big step from Bad Company 2 on consoles. Feels like Frostbite 1.5 on consoles.
- No way to train on vehicles outside the heat of multiplayer battle.

I pretty much suck at Battlefield 3 at the moment. Hope to improve over time. Rush rocks.

and u also get to keep his dog tag as a souvenir btw melee system is quite different in this game.in BC@ or any other game melee is instant kill but in BF3 u must be BEHIND the enemy to get a kill+dogtag.try melee someone from front and ur dead meat.i got killed a lot that way

Melee from front?! How can you melee from front? Unless the guy is alone and reloading, I doubt it's doable
And regarding the melee system, so far Killzone 3 is still the king of that IMO. No game comes close to that awesomeness.

Its doable from different directions. But rather then going into a predefined animation just pressing the F key alone, your player would just pull out his knife and you'd have to melee him with 'left-click'. These result in different kill animations. Did it twice.

I have nearly 500 hours in BC2 and the sort of gameplay you're expecting you won't largely get mostly because of the COD noobs who are switching to BF3. Hopefully, hopefully, they'll bugger off sharpish so that your BF3 players are the ones who want squad work/team work and all that.

I remember this BC2 game on the Saudi servers and I was the top player (Assault + shotgun + arming m-coms) and some guy said "how can you be the top player, your K/D is like 7/12 lol). That's the sort of people who generally populate games now, unfortunately. K/D noobs. People who play for that rather than actual squad/team play. Unfortunately.

So stick with BF3, get some friends together whom you know WILL give a rat's ass about teamwork, and you'll be on your way to seeing the gameplay you crave. I rarely, if ever, ended up playing BC2 on my own. I always played with my best mate because I knew that the two of us would always work as a squad, regardless of the other ground-thumping neanderthals who populated BC2 servers. Worse comes to worse, just switch servers. You'll end up server hopping a lot, but when you do find one you'll have gameplay you'll remember for weeks!

really?i tried it like 10 times.i do get to damage him but never enough to kill and end up being shot myself.i guess i haven't been able to coz of generous amount of lag i get on any server <_<
