Battlefield 3 |OT| Got 99 problems, but Call of Duty ain't one!

So are you guys using the Reloaded version or the earlier ones? I've pre-ordered the game but honestly don't want to wait till bloody Friday to even start downloading the thing :wave:

Already have the clone dvd verison done 70%, so just wondering whether I should download the reloaded version now from scratch or not?

Performance and solid frame rate, much better than the beta then I am well satisfied! My download will finish at midnight tonight, followed by the 700mb update. Guess I'll play it tomorrow =|

Heres a couple of them:

Battlefield 3 on consoles is a very different game than the PC version. It doesn't look as good, and it supports fewer players online. By the sheer nature of control scheme, it requires a very different skill set. It's slower paced and requires a far more conservative style of play. This isn't better or worse than the PC version -- just different.

There are notable graphical flaws that can't be conveyed through screenshots, and these sometimes interfere with gameplay. The PS3 version suffers from noticeable screen tearing. Graphical pop-in is a noticeable issue on both platforms; certain models -- characters, objects, weapons -- pop in and out of the world as the camera shifts -- even at close distances. The most common offender is foliage, but I've seen this happen to pipes on buildings, and even enemy players in multiplayer matches.

The game also suffers from minor texture pop-in; this becomes most noticeable when watching enemy players on the "kill-cam" after dying in a multiplayer match. The game's native 720p (technically 704p) resolution is the same as most console games, but BF3 often requires precision shooting at long distances; and sometimes it seems as if there's just not enough pixels on-screen to render far away enemies with enough fidelity to make them valid targets.

Can I play the single player without a key? I heard that a key is needed for the installation of the game.

From what ive seen, you need the key for installation. Since mine is legit i had to enter key to get the pre load option.

I love all the maps I've played so far. I can't fathom why they would choose the absolute worst possible map in the entire game for the beta. Honestly I didn't much care for caspian border either but the maps I've been through now, Kharg Island and Grand Bazaar, they were fantastic. They managed to finally evoke that feeling again, the feeling that you're finally playing a BF game. The maps are a sight to behold, they look magnificent.
I was playing on Iamextreme's server so there was little to no lag, no drop in frame rates. Silky smooth.
