I doubt it, I was playing with Americans and there was minuscule lag. It was probably just your connection acting up. Just to be on the safe side, try using a UAE or Saudi account.
EA has wonderful servers when it comes to consoles and the trend continues with this game.

The one thing that bugs me alot is if you have a party of 4 people and when you guys join a game, you get randomly selected into another squad *sigh* and voice chat sucks.

Well i kinda agree on the camping bit in the beta Muaaz, the bushes are literaly full of crawling campers!! they are everywhere!!!

But this is just a boring gun vs gun match up, bf without its full scale war with vehicles & shit is nothin'

Everything will settle down when the final game releases!

Well this is where you're wrong. With all the hype with this game, it has definitely gained some attention and hordes of people will be playing this. And with hordes of people, there will hordes of campers, which is exactly what had happened to COD. With the huge maps, this will be a bigger mess then COD if it gets played by as many people as COD.

I know you've heard this a thousand times but it's a beta. By that I don't mean yeah it'll be totally different in the final game but;
1- It won't have glitches
2- It'll have VEHICLES that are the core of Battlefield, will also makeup for the big maps.
3 -Hence Greatly reduce camping.
4- Technical progress, Smoother game.
5- BF is NOT about Gun on Gun action only, it's a mix.
6- And to add a personal opinion, the map Operation metro simply sucks!
Check out caspian border gameplay fom the PC version's Beta. Now THAT's what battlefield is. The Beta itself probably isn't too impressive on console, I can imagine.

I have not played the beta, but judging from the response of the people, with the hype that EA and Dice had created they should have done much much better than this. I remember playing the MOH and BC2 beta's they didn't have this many problems. Lets hope this doesn't end up like MOH. I'm personally really looking forward for the game and wouldn't want it to follow that fate.

And as far as "PC version is good, awesome and is the best thing in the whole wide world" goes, this game would get no where without the support of the console players. And if there is such a huge difference between the console and PC versions then this game won't be much appreciated.

Bad Company 2's Beta HAD Vehicles, the Core aspect and mode of movement and strategy was present. Vehicles and no vehicles, it's a dynamic gameplay and playstyle change. Hence, the Bc2 Beta was MUCH better than the BF3 Beta.
Without Vehicles, it isn't a Battlefield game at all, not that all you do is roam around in vehicles but destroying them, watching out for them and making strategies variously makes up the whole game's playstyle. BF3's Beta is just BAD, simply put. They should've included vehicles. Also, there are alot of bugs but expect them to be fixed by the time the game comes out, if not, patches and more patches!
All in all, It was a very unwise decision from EA to include this map, that too without one of the main thing's about Battlefield included. It does not provide a good example for the final game and/or the franchise at ALL. Caspian border's another story.
