i have a ps3 3.40 fat 60 gb and every day i think should i jailbreak my ps3 and stop buy all those blurays
a friend of mine says i should not do that cause sony might release a patch in future with new games that wont be played on jailbroken ps3 and it would be worth less suggest me what to do cause blurays are really expensive costing me 3500 to 4500 per disc plus i have 15 blurays bought under 3500 to 5000 rps i dont know what to do or should i buy a modded xbox 360 s

In all honesty i don't think sony can counter piracy now, the cat's out of the bag. I honestly wish they would brick hacked consoles but whatever. If piracy is an attractive venture for you go for a jailbreak. If you honestly believe that these games aren't worth that cash then why are you even asking this question. It's your own choice.

If yes, then don't do it.

OP: 2 things for you.

1 - JB is too much fun considering what Roark said if you think these games are not worth to buy for 4k-5k than go for it.
2 - if in future anything happens and Sony somehow ( 0.0001% chance ) manage to come up with a un-hackable patch than you can always intall the Official firmware and join the justice league squad.

if i were you i would have based my decision on the following reasons;
pro's
1) blu ray's are expensive
2) chances of sony getting rid of the piracy is below 10%
3) i can play so many games without investing in them i.e download games
con's
1) i won't be playing a single game for it's platinum trophy cause there are so many games in HDD . Thus, reducing the game's replay value.
2) It's takes time and patience to download a game (20-6gb mostly)
assumptions
1) i'm scared something might happen to my ps3 if i JB it cause i ain't a millionaire
2) I'm feeling guilty of switching to piracy (some people do feel this)

Suggestion;
1. just do it! i mean jb ur ps3 nothing happens to it except that ur ps3 HDD is used alot as compared to when u haven't jb your ps3. Why? read the 1st assumption
2. Do the Math! a single game cost around 3500-5000. You have a total of 12 games with you that means: 12*3500= Rs.42,000 or 12*5000= Rs. 60,000 enough to buy 2 new packed ps3 so why waste money on buying precious games when u can save and keep your investment for a new console if (which in most cases won't) your console dies.

Note: "Afford" is the main issue 'mostly'

If you feel like getting back on the legit scene, sell your JB PS3 and buy a new one.
