I have few questions.
I am using ADSL connection since 2009 from ptcl. I got new wire installed in 2019 which was thick on one side and thin on the other side. So what is the difference between this wire Vs normal copper twisted pair one?
Also I am looking to get 25 Mbps connection, it would be VDSL or gpon? Do I need to request gpon to get better upload speeds? What are VDSL 25 Mbps connection speeds for download and upload compared to gpon? I am thinking of shifting from stormfiber back to ptcl for reasons mentioned before.

Does stormfiber give connection only for TV , no internet no telephone?

Also what are ptcl TV channel list and how to use ptcl TV on more than one TV? I have 2 analogue TV and one digital tv what are my options for it?. Can I use smart TV app on more than one device simultaneously on more one device?

Interesting. I just sent the request.

I'm surprised they're not going to convert Al Jazeera English into HD because that channel only broadcasts in HD (from the satellite feed).

They say 24 hours. I say wait a month.

Edit: HD channels are on. You can tell there's a difference in the quality (HD is much sharper). Otherwise, nothing else to report.

Hope you also went into settings of Set top box and from there in display enabled 1080p if it's not already enabled.

Yep, had already done that a year ago.

Since only the US and maybe Japan broadcast in NTSC, we're better off with 1080p50 and not 1080p60 (since we'll see jitters with 60fps).

If it works fine for you, good on you - but note that you need to ensure the monitor refresh rate is in sync with the content.

And content in most of the world (except the US and Canada) is in 50fps.

It's visible on scrolling news tickers the most.

You'll get the channels in the STB automatically.

Look for two channels of each (eg two DW, two HUM News etc.) In the channel list.

I have the HD channels but with black bars lol. How to fix that?

Edit: Changed the display settings to full screen and all good now!

1. You need to have their newer STB with an HDMI port.
2. In the channel list, there's a separate category for HD channels.
