MAN, the combat in this game is ‘oh~ .. SO SATISFYING’ !
Combined with the series trademark over-the-top actiony bits during boss fights, it delivers so much awesomeness!
I am lovin’ it.

LE was out of stock in the store.

There is a version of it available for the US too, it's the $90 collectors edition. I think it comes with steel pins or something.

When I was at the store picking up my copy, they only had a bunch of standard game copies and 2 special Stone Mason editions for people who ordered them. Those are like $180 and came in *HUGE* boxes. I was like, well I ain't spending THAT much, but might as well get a collectors thing while I'm here. They had a bunch of cheap shitty looking figurines and a few god awful T shirts, the kind that shrink half when you wash them. The collectors edition guide with the cool art inside it was the only thing that really caught my eye.

I also put the order for Yakuza 6 Essence of the Art edition while I was there :p that should be arriving by Tuesday.

The only collector shit I like is things I can display like steel books or things which have cool exclusive art in it. Figures can get lost or break too easily.

So. I played a good 2 hours before sleeping.

I got up to

Spoiler: show
the first bandits encounter with human enemies.

Holy shit that Stranger fight was some dragon ball z bullshit lol. I thought this would be more of a subdued "serious" kind of game, but they threw that out of the window less than an hour in.

I hope that's not the last of that character. Please don't spoil if he comes back or what his identity is, I have my suspicions but I wanna see how it plays out.

You thought right.

The encounter design is pedestrian. Uptil the story point I mentioned in the previous post, the game is honestly a slog. Nothing interesting happens story wise and same enemies are repeated over and over combined with Nathan Drake style auto platforming. Levels are too small and linear to make exploration seem worthwhile. Game throws lots of upgrades at you constantly.

And this is defnitey not the most brutal God of War. Its tame by GoW standards. Chandoo dont read the spoiler

    I have a PS5 but I am not satisfied with the experience. I am currently saving for a 4080 64 GB rig soon. Bit will wait for Pro if performance improves. This gen has been so bad I don't plan on buying consoles anymore for AAA gaming.

    Just downloaded my first legit digital PC game on GoG at a discount of $8: Two Point Hospital. The same team behind Theme Hospital Two Point Studios now part of Sega. And I am having more fun than most recent AAA games except of course BG3.
