[NBA] Galaxy s3 or HTC One X?

I second that. Although I won't really call the S3 "Shitty and cheap" but it just doesn't cut it, you know. HTC One X has an elegant design and best of all Tegra optimized games...Whatup!

Galaxy S3 better camera, solid software, excellent hardware and its SAMSUNG
HTC One X comparatively less camera quality, problematic software, rock solid hardware and excellent packaging.

My choice would be samsung s3 any day over htc one x.

Galaxy s3 doesnt looks like 60k phone but one x does
Both has their own pros and cons
Beside shape galaxy 3 is almost ahead of one x in every task
But if i were u i will go for one x
Because these benches doesnt matter in real life.
Its the shape which matter
32gb is enuff memory

I am sure you already know that S3 has better camera, audio quality and battery life so I'll get down to things you may not know.

The plastic isnt cheap it's polycarbonate which is same material as one X. It's just that S3 doesnt look very good. Think one X is some super high quality product? Go to xda it has the most number of faults and hardware issues than any recent phone in memory. I have personally verified from people in market as well that one X is facing alot of issues. Thats "cheap" if you ask me.....

Another huge point in favor of the S3 is ergonomics. The unlock button is placed on the top of one X and given the size of the phone trust me it's a HUGE problem. Whereas on the S3 it's always accessible to the hand due to it being on the side.

Lastly the one X has worse multi-tasking than a single core phone. It's just HTC's new but horribly implemented way of saving battery which doesnt actually help much at all. They havent fixed it in a recent OTA update so I wouldnt hold my breadth for it.

Its not cheap at all, its polycarbonate.Only the design sucks but I think one can live with it for all the other amazing features.

One X ? No wayy.

S3 is a well built phone u need to feel it and not judge it by pictures etc

I was also in a same boat like you and after searching alot i have bought Samsung Galaxy S3 and i have not regret my decision. Here are some points over HTC One X which will be proved as a more future proof phone.

1) Better Camera and Video Recording (2min video of about 360mb) so you can imagine the quality.
2) Bigger Battery and its also user removable
3) MicroSD card slot(Up to 64GB)
4) Better CPU and GPU
5) Better Screen( User preference)
6) Last but not least Samsung has better software support to their devices as compared to HTC. You can see Nexus S and what happens to Desire HD.

But i do like HTC One X build Quality and Sense UI.

I did the same search a while back but bought the Samsung s3. The best feature hardware wise is the removable battery and microsd can be upgraded till 64 gb. Volley of free software on the playstore.

It totally depends on ur likeness and usage.o used both phones and wont say any of them is bad.both phones have faults and are unique.so better tell what are u really interested in.

:O Nexus S is supported by Google. So, get an HTC One X TegraZone ftw

well you can buy a one X... tegra3 is a horrible chipset... stay away from it... it has support of good games but it is shitty... but that is still preference as it is a quadcore so can still dish out some serious performance.... the biggest and the most crippling downside to the phone is the terrible batter life... just terrible...don't listen to people like lord ammar who are just crappy biased shitheads verging on EMO behavior... and why do you think that these are the only 2 choices for you?? i don't like the shape of s3 and its pentile display(it is not noticeable but it is still there) and i would wait for something like note2 if i were you...

I just want to add, consider OneX ONLY if you are getting it cheap. A LOT of people have bought OneX as cheap as 38k and i think thats a darn good price for a phone of its class (obviously this price is much cheaper than S3).

However, For a brand new phone, i would also recommend S3. A lot of people have criticized the phone after seeing its pictures. But when you hold it in your hand, ALL the doubts flush down the toilet.

Almost all the reasons to buy S3 over OneX are mentioned above by Thinker and Usama.

I have added ONE MORE reason why to buy OneX i.e. IF you get it MUCH cheaper than its actual price tag. ONLY THEN it'll be a good purchase.

One X is better. Nuff said :damnit:

If I were you I'd a get a Galaxy Nexus and enjoy with rest of the money saved. It's got Jelly Bean! beat that.

Having used S3 for a while which my cousin bought... This time I feel S3 dominates One X... But his Experience after using an iPhone 4 was that S3 is Laggy and When he played Temple RUN on my Xperia Ray he said its not as smooth on his S3...

But S2 was never better than Sensation...:lips:
