LOL... I exactly did this with GTA 4.
I bought 3 games of GTA 4 (2 on 2DVDs and 1 on 4DVDs) from one shop =P and shopkeeper was like "Bhai, kheriat tou hay?" lol
And in the same time, i was also downloading from torrent link =D

I,myself , bought gta SA three or more times I guess on ps2.
