Of course it's not the true 4k console. MS always overhypes their shit. Next gen maybe. The real question is: when will they finally put out decent steady games?

The experience of console gaming is something else and it can't be experienced on a PC right now. Furthermore, knowing how big of a headcase I am, I'll always dread not being able to play that certain game on that certain setting. That in conjunction with sheer fire-and-forget functionality of a console is something I continue to enjoy to this day.
But it's unlikely I'll buy the scorpio on day 1, even if the product and games lineup is compelling. Though I can't say that I'm not excited to find out more.
USUF pliss! haven't we already argued this to death. this is not the 360/PS3 era anymore. things are not exactly fire-and-forget on PC but consoles have needlessly complicated things too. the xbox app on windows 10 has effectively cloned the XBO experience with the perks of a PC! what can be more amazing than that?
Still requires too much maintenance, commitment and research to put together the best combination of parts that will last for a long long time. For a regular console gamer like myself, putting together and maintaining something like that is just too daunting of a task. And the asking price for premium quality materials that can give you some peace of mind is just too steep.
I think MS definitely are confident enough about the specs. Digital Foundry doing the reveal, this should be interesting.

No mention of price, probably why they wanted the specs out sooner and separately so it generates positive buzz. If this is anything more then $399, people will tear it apart and all those custom components probably aren't cheap.
$400 would be shocking unless MS is overconfident that it would sell extremely well. $450 would be the sweet spot. Don't forget the Scorpio also has a 4K UHD player which the Pro doesn't.
As good as the specs are, unless they start getting all the third party console exclusives PS4 gets, I honestly don't see myself trading in my Pro for a Scorpio.

So i just found out that f***ing s***bag Microsoft shut down Arkane Studio (makers of the brilliant Dishonored series) and Tango Gameworks (makers of the iconic The Evil Within series), among some other studios. Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.
